Check your "My Hattrick" for the lastest.
Here's my top 5:
I would like to see the "defender" sub spilt into 2 different subs, one for central defenders and 1 for wingbacks.
I would like to see passing skill of all outfielders count some towards ball possession, although not as significantly as playmaking skill. As with playmaking, the IM's would contribute most, wingers a little less, others a little less yet.
I would like to see the year-end awards for league position to be increased to encourage all teams to finish as high as possible. Right now it is significantly more advantageous to finish 5th than 4th.
I would like for all teams not playing in a qualifier to be able to play a friendly on qualifier match day to eliminate the training bias for teams with qualifiers.
I would like to see the instances of set pieces in a match, especially direct free kicks and corners, greatly increased.
I'd be interested to see others' ideas.

I would like to see passing count as additional possession, calculating it by adding up the total passing of your team and using that to add a bit more to your possesion totals. I'd also decrease the effectiveness of playmaking to discourage 3 inner midfielders, and a winger towards middle formations. I think if you did that it would give defensive formations a chance of getting possesoin and additional chances at scoring with passing actually meaning something for everyone.

I'm not really feeling the creativity right now so I'll just respond to yours and in that are my two biggest changes I'd like to see (separate keepers from defense, penalties for throwing games).

Interesting, but what I'd really like to see is keeper separated from defense. Have the three defender ratings and *then* have a keeper rating. It'll be easier to beat the defense since a lot of teams use keepers to buff up their defense. But then they have to get past the keeper. This would help the woeful defender market as people would have to balance things out. No more 3 formidable defenders covered up by a extraterrestrial keeper.

Don't really like this one. Passing is passing, playmaking is playmaking. Not that it isn't realistic that passing would contribute. But, passing is already at a premium at middie and striker. Something about this suggestion just doesn't seem pure (in the sense that the DH isn't pure), it just seems like a passing trainer's dream. Then again, they're about as scarce as set pieces trainers so maybe beefing it up for them would be good.

Definitely! Also, give a bigger bonus for promoting and autopromoting. I've been championing these for a few seasons now. There are two ways to make qualifier week fair: move the qualifying teams' game to Wednesday or add a friendly for everyone else on Sunday. I definitely like the second- the giant form hit at the beginning of the season is just dumb. No more of this "throwing games" crap.

I think this gives way too much power to a team with a good set pieces guy. I wouldn't mind an extra instance or two between both teams in a game but, really, a team paying $500K for a wc+ set pieces guy/solid defender or striker or something shouldn't determine a game.

That's not what I'm after here. In 206 matches, I've had 22 corners and 44 free kicks. About 1 every 3 matches. IRL, a half a dozen per game isn't unrealistic. Yeah, I know, it's hattrick not real life, but as it is now, set pieces are beyond marginal.
They need to greatly increase they're occurence, but probably significantly lessen the chance of a conversion in order to do it right.

I would like to be able to be able to change tactics at half-time. It obviously can't be done live but could be done by seting some conditions, eg, if team leads by 2 goal, change from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2., if team is down by a goal, go to 3-4-3...stuff like that...

This would be very cool but I'm not sure there's the computing power to do it.
In that same vein- get rid of the kiss of death that is "pulling back".

Change the way passing effects attack ratings. Right now a Winger's passing assists his wing attack, and a strikers passing assists his central attack. There is no motivation to training passing because you can get an increase in attack by simply training the primary skill, which for wingers is just as fast with greater effect on the ratings and with scoring is slower but has a much great effect on the ratings.
If you flipped the passing so that a strikers passing assisted the Wing attack and not the central attack, and a Winger's passing assisted the central attack and not the Wing attack you would see people motivated to train passing.
Here's an example:
You are looking at buying a striker, and two are on the market for the same price. One is a brilliant/weak, the other is outstanding/solid. The brilliant/weak provides the central attack with approxiamelty the same amount of central attack as the outstanding/solid (because of passing), BUT the brilliant/weak provides a larger boost to the Wing attack because the solid passing excluded, so therefore you are comparing outstanding vs brilliant for the wing attack. In this case a knowledgeable user would select the brilliant score every time. Therefore, there is no motivation to train passing, in this case.
If you flip the passing contribution like I recommend, then you end up with the brilliant/weak scorer contributing more to the central attack then the oustanding/solid scorer, but the outstanding/solid scorer contributes as much, if not more to the Wing attack. This is enough to make a buyer consider the outstanding over the brilliant. Now there is a motivation to train passing.
The examples using a Winger are probably even better IMO.

Just had to laugh at the timing of this comment considering my friendly this week (match ID 37784228). I've had FOUR set piece chances in the game (3 in regulation, 1 in OT so far), most I've ever had in a game. Hasn't worked out too well, with my guy missing all of them, including a PK. :D

Some of my ideas which always get laughed at in the conferences:
I think they should change the scoring-passing ratio for skills contribution for forwards. It is currently estimated to be 80-20, I think they should change the ratio to 60-40, which would decrease the effect of forwards on wing attacks and also increase the importance of passing training. Very few 3-4-3 teams are playing with offensive wingers, and the effect that forwards have on wing attack is one of the reasons why.
I think they should add the counterattacking training that they botched last time around and make a passing training that trains forwards and defenders at full strength. It is currently very difficult to train passing if you want to be a 4-3-3 CA team.
