As Rosenborg in Norway, I've got a $26 million transfer budget. I don't need that, is there anyway that the board will move some of that money to up the max i can spend for weekly wages? I've asked them to give me more money for weekly wages, just wondering if they will eventually see we can't use the 26 mil on any good players because they wont play for what i can offer per week.

playing a game as Rosenborg too Illini. How'd you end up with 26 million? I had a cool 8 and the board bumped me up to 16. When they did that they also raised the weekly wage budget. I think you may have to go a certain amount of time with good finances to get the wage budget fixed...so like if you go a season with the 26 million basically unused they'll be like "whoa we got a lot of cash!" and plow some into the wage budget, leave some for transfer, and gobble up the rest.

i'll lump my question in here so i don't annoy the thread nazis

i'm starting up a game as a Conference North team (Dorchester) and i was wondering if i'll be at all limited because they are listed at "Semi-Professional"? Will that ever change to Professional? Does that have any effect on gameplay at all?

As you get promoted, it will change to professional in time. It just indicates that you will be playing at a lesser calibre of play. It doesn't have any direct effects except that you and your team probably don't have much prestige in the football world. As a result, it will be difficult to get good loan players right away.

ah ok good. that's what i figured. I just wanted to be sure that it wouldn't limit my ability to take the club up the ranks (the same way expansion capacity can be limiting)

Honestly I don't really know. It was at 8, then they bumped it to 12. Then all of a sudden they were like, we' like what you've done with the finances we'll bump it to 22 million. At the beginning of this season they were like here's 26 million, have fun. I've only sold 4 players, but most were over a million each.

One thing to upgrade your semi-pro team to professional is to look at your guys, and offer any folks who have a Part-Time contract (basically, they have another job besides footy) a full time contract

I live in Norway and was a bit surprised that you have picked Rosenborg.

I don’t know how much you know about Norwegian football but here is the basis info on Rosenborg.

<O:p</O:pThey have won the league in Norway for the last 13 seasons and are way ahead of most other teams in Norway/Scandinavia. They have more transfer money when any other team in the Norwegian league (earned from their Champions league success in the 90) and pick up the best talents in Norway once or twice a year. They could properly field two teams that would have the quality to stay in the top Norwegian division.

They are the envy of all other football teams in Scandinavia with all other teams trying to copy them.<O:p</O:p

The last two year they have had some trouble winning the league and last season the actually fired their coach, but based on talent alone they are still in a league of their own in Norway.
