Dumb And Dumber vs. Office Space

Which one is better when it comes to sheer quotability and the bane of countless in-jokes with friends?

Dumb and Dumber is funnier when you watch it. Office Space has more of those memorable lines that becomes in-jokes (if something from a major motion picture can really be an in-joke).

I find the Austin Powers movies to be like that as well. Not laugh out loud funny when you watch them, but two years later you look back on them as classics.

This is a weird comparison to me.

Dumb & Dumber is a slapstick kind of movie, where Office Space is, maybe not dark, but it's definetly not slapstick.

And in any case, Caddyshack beats them both. :)

This is hands-down, not even a contest...

Office Space by a Landslide.. to vote dumb and dumber you must have never worked in a restaurant or office...

I think Office Space has a broader appeal become more people can identify with many of the characters.

Dumb and Dumber is just that - Office Space is a life story for many. No contest here.

Well, this must have been a hype issue for me. I didn't see Office Space until I heard all of the hype. When I did, I didn't find it near as funny as everyone said it was going to be. And yes, I've worked in both a restaurant and an office.

I don't love either one. I think Office Space is over-rated (though I do think it's a funny movie).

But Office Space gets my vote.

Sums up my thoughts pretty well, I enjoyed them both quite a bit but they were very different, hard to compare the two.

Lets love them both equally! ;)

Just watched it again this weekend. Good flick. I've heard the book is better, but I haven't gotten around to reading it.

Yeah, but this is a scientifically unreliable poll. After all, Tootsie beat Holy Grail? Takes a lot of brain damage to reach that conclusion.

I haven't seen either movie in a few years, but the only specific quote I can remember from Dumb & Dumber is the "...so you're saying I've still got a chance!" line, which was pretty funny.

First half of Office Space wins.

Unfortunately the first half of Office Space if followed by the second half. The half where they decide they need a story and a love interest to make it a proper movie. That half sucks.
