Games that feature Major League teams, stadiums and players, capturing such details as facial features and uniform patches, include the EA title and ESPN's "Major League Baseball 2K5," with prices from about $20 to $30. There's also a breed of computer games with less intensive graphics, such as "Out of the Park Baseball," that allow players to control a team's front-office functions instead of playing the game.

I see Puresim being mentioned on CNN now.
Maybe Diamond Mind on Fox News.
Nothing like a repeat story for the news channels.

I think this type of exposure can only help all text sims.

That's great. It would be nice if the PC game magazines would more consistently review these games. Occasionally, one will be reviewed (I think FOF2004 was and I just saw one for Eastside Hockey Manager) but I wish they got more attention.

I think each of the past 2-3 versions of OOTP have been reviewed in the 3 mags: CG, PCG and CGW.
Exposure can only help the text-sim genre. I wonder where the FOF franchise would be, if the EA deal went as planned (FOF Online.... FOF packaged with Madden)
Nice to see Markus get some more recognition for his great game :D

Yup, NHL EHM got reviewed in both PC Gamer and CGV earlier this year and also got mentioned in the Best of 2004 issue of PCG later on. We didn't naturally win anything, but one of their writers listed the game as their personal favourite game of 2004 :)

I saw that too. He lists it in his playlist all the time too. Fanboy!
