I went to elementary and high school with a guy. We were friends, but I lost touch with him after high school. I don't think that I had seen or thought about him since '94.

Two nights ago, I had a dream about him. Then, I found out this morning that his brother died just the other day.

Struck me as weird. Don't think about a guy for a decade, then have a dream about him and hear news about him in the span of two days.

When did you remember having the dream? When you heard that his brother died?

Is it possible that you have dreams about him every now and then, but you just forget about them? That you have no real reason to remember the dreams - unlike this time when you remembered it because of the coincidence?

Could be. I know that I had the dream. But did I only remember it because of hearing the news? Possibly. I've never been one to remember dreams vividly like some people.

And what is coincidence really? Something that happens once every billion days happens to about 6 people every day.
