would he be starting ahead of Westbrook then?

would he be starting ahead of Westbrook then?
I don't think so. I think Reid would rotate them both. Of course, that could create chemistry problems considering Henry's problems in Buffalo, but I think Reid could make it work.

thats why I was suprised to see Henry may be going to Philly. If he couldn't handle McGahee, I don't think he could hande a situation with Westbrook.

The difference is that Westbrook isn't a pound the ball 20 carry/game type of player. I think McGahee could be that type of player. Henry would get plenty of touches in Philly, more than he would in Buffalo.

Suzy Kolber is doing a good job with this interview with Cedric. She's pushing and digging into Cedric's concerns. Not just your usual fluff, letting the players say vague things and then letting it drop. Impressive interview.

I will say this about the interview. She really just asked questions that have already been asked (dreds, Ricky Williams, etc). It just worked because he's really touched to be picked as high as he was. So, it's more him, in my opinion. She didn't really give a great interview...it just fell in her lap.

And the whole ringing of the stock market bell as Tags announces the picks has got to go.

I am sure he maybe gon by the 2nd round... he has talent and in my opinion is the most talented of the QB's in this draft.

Looking at past Vikings' drafts, I'm pretty sure the player was Dwayne Rudd. I think that also started the NFL to invite less players as Dwayne Rudd being in the green room was becoming a huge story.

I don't know. Dallas needed a speedy receiver more. Plus picking another possesion receiver will just make Keyshawn even more unbearable, unless that's what Parcells considers as motivation.
if dets receivers can stay on the field, next year is going to be a great year.

Methinks either some team told him they would take him .... and changed their mind or his agent is an idiot and didn't want to tell him that he probably wasn't going top 10.

I know some Texas fans may not agree with me but Derrick Johnson is kinda of overrated. Great college player but I am not sure if he will translate that into the NFL where fullbacks are like mini guards who move fast and hit hard. Also after reading his scouting report shedding block seems to be a weakness for him. If any Texas fan can confirm this please do so or anyone who has seen him play alot more then I have..(I watched him about 4 times this season but i was flipping channels)

I have to agree with a few people who aren't as enamored with Johnson as some others. Don't get me wrong; I think he'll be a good pro, a very good player. But I don't have a problem with the Cowboys not taking him.
My problem with the Cowboys is that DeMarcus Ware may in fact be a very good player, but I'm always hesitant about guys who play outstanding in small conferences. He hasn't played against the best competition, and combine scores typically aren't enough to sway me. I would've felt more comfortable with a Merriman pick. Hopefully, Ware will prove me wrong.

Randy Mueller just said this in ESPN's draft cast,
Randy Mueller: (3:21 PM ET ) Derrick Johnson is a great athlete. He looks like tarzan. He can go sideline to sideline and run like a deer. He struggles at the point of attack when taking people on. He's also not a great tackler. They will get a really good athlete who can play any of the three LB spots....consistency and toughness will be the areas to watch with this kid.Uh oh, will Johnson play like Jane?

Cody has slipped quite a bit lately due mostly to a mediocre performance at the pro-day as well as concerns over his bout with clinical depression a few years back. Also, there are questions about his size (he's a little thin).
I think he'll fall to the end of the 1st round - beginning of 2nd round, but whoever takes him will be getting a very good pass-rusher.

Interesting they think Brown is better then Barron.
Saints needed a RT, not a LT. Brown was the best RT in the draft. Barron is a LT prospect. The Saints had to trade up to get Brown because the Panthers were going to pick him ahead of the Saints. Always fun to get the best player at the biggest hole on the team and mess up a division rival at the same time.

Suicane won't want him then. He likes to make fun of football player with depression.

No doubt about Dallas' tranformation to the 3-4 now. As an OU fan, I would've loved to see them take Clayton, but... :)
That said, I think Spears is a good pick. I feel much more comfortable with him actually than I do with Ware, but maybe that's because I've seen much more of Spears.
I would question now what'll happen with Greg Ellis and/or LaRoi Glover. Both are small in the down position in a 3-4. With Ferguson and Spears presumably manning two of the three spots, one of Ellis or Glover becomes either trade bait or a mere rotation guy.

Well, Green Bay does have 2 second round picks and there wasn't much value here on the defensive need areas (OLB, S, DE). I'm not thrilled about Rodgers, but we'll see what they do with their second rounders. At a minimum, it's great value.

And Baltimore takes advantage of jacksonville's mistake by picking Clayton
Disagree greatly here.
Clayton is a small, quick WR who relies on accurate, pinpoint passes so he can do what he does best. . . run after the catch. So what he needs to be his best, Kyle Boller does worst. I think Clayton will have a decent NFL carreer, nothing more.
Jones is bigger (MUCH bigger), faster, stronger and has more overall skills. Jax deserves props for making the right pick here. At the end of the day, I think people are going to regret not picking Jones higher than 21. He's going to be a terrific WR in this league.

Not likely as I think Tampa Bay really liked him.
