The series is not a hard one.
There's one really good team, two good ones, and the rest.
I haven't looked at the auto-promotes yet (I assume you're one), so I'm sure there's more class coming into the series. All in all, it's dead and boring I'm afraid. No other owner interaction at all.

Next season I anticipate a rating of 100 or so (old system).
That is, under the NEW ratings, passabe-ish midfield, weak-ish defense, outstanding-ish wing attacks, and solid-ish center attack.
Do I have a chance to win, or if not, compete with the "good ones"?

You should do decently. It's tough to tell with midfields like yours (ours). You'll want to either up your midfield or defence if it's at all possible.
There are 2 winger trainers, and 2 scoring trainers in the series.
HC does midfield and is getting better. If he sells guys and improves his team, he'll be able to make a nice big jump in quality. As it is now, he's a midfield guy that controls the ball enough to score and has a good enough defence to keep ahead.
Offensive isn't playing friendlies any more, so I dunno. Another midfield team that doesn't have defense or much offense.
Garden is a switching over to scoring training, I believe, after IM training. He has a good midfield, but his scorer training isn't paying off yet in attack ratings.
Aves...me...well...who knows. Got 2nd last season and 5th this season. Maybe next year will be a relegation. This season has reiterated to me the utmost importance placed on midfield, no matter what HT says. . .
Schwing: Midfield deficient team, defence not all that either...but attack ratings are frightening. Really frightening. Another team that if he sells off a scorer and buys an IM, he could just shoot up in strength.
The best team, far and away, are the Roughnecks. I think they'll promote, so I'm not including them. They're an auto-loss twice a season, however. They have explosive attacks (winger trainer) and insane midfield levels for a non-midfield trainer. They are the class of the series.
You'll have trouble against the midfield teams, as I do. They are teams we really should beat, because we're better...but sometimes don't because we don't have midfield.

Thanks for the run-down.
You're my fellow über-winger trainer, right?
Kind of interesting that we're two of probably less than a half-dozen in the USA, and we ended up in the same series!

Not so much...I got hosed in the qual match.
Why did I EVER decide not to train midfield...
