Does anyone know how to make a movie out of the video output of a computer game? I would like to make an mpg or something out of, say, one of my saved replays in Pro Evolution Soccer 3. I haven't a clue if there is a way to do this. If there is, I might even start a dynasty and include video highlights from my games.

I made a avi out of a Madden replay in this thread (http://www.fof-ihof.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4334). Links to the programs I used are a few posts down the page

In short, here's what I did:

I connected my XBox to the TV tuner card of my computer. I started up my TV tuner recording software. I edited my video with VirtualDub-MPEG2. Voila!

Sorry, stupid me. You're trying to do this for a computer game, and here I am talking about an XBox. Sorry.

Thanks VPI this is exactly what I was looking for. However, I am really struggling with compressing the video with VDub. Can you give me an explanation of a quick and dirty way to compress this. Everything I try makes a larger file than I started with.

I always follow the tutorials here (http://www.videohelp.com/avi2divx.htm). You may need to go somewhere to get updated codecs to aid in your compression...google, microsoft, or doom9.org are good places to find some.

SWEET. Got it. Gonna start a new thread gauging interest in a dynasty based on this! Thanks VPI.
