I am soliciting recommendations for a fun computer game. I am not looking for a text based sim as I am already covered in that area.

Also, i do not have many of the newest games as I buy games only occasionally and so many games pass me by.

I recently finished the original Half-Life and I am looking for something fun to play. i have tried the following:

GG's World at War- I should like this game but I am having trouble getting into it. i think it is too complicated to hold my interest just now. i am holding on to it and I am sure i will get into it someday;

KOTOR II- I enjoyed KOTOR I, but for some reason KOTOR II wont run on my computer with the sound on, so it goes back;

RISE oF Nations w/ expansion-I took KOTOR II back and picked this up. It seems "OK" but again, it is a little more complicated than the Star Craft I remember, although I seemed to win missions by doing the same thing I always do, the bum's rush. i am going to hold onto this one and maybe see if I can get into it.

Overall i am in a gaming rut and i am looking for something relatively uncomplicated that will hold my interest.

Never played it but sounds like Age of Empires II or Age of Mythology might be in line with the type of game you gravitate toward. Not sure how complicated either might be.

It is a completely different experience MP. A group of us here used to play quite a bit together. You not only have the build up and attack phases of the game, but it was fun setting up alliances and breaking them later if need be. Just don't play with HeavyReign. He won every single game. :(
