Anybody watch this reality show Monday on Fox.
That Chef Gordan Ramsay is such a A...Hole and treats the cooks very bad.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the show. Definitely enjoyed it, and have the DVR set to record all episodes.
Good, new show, IMO.

Brother in Law told me his wife read something about the main chef being a real nice guy but they paid him to act like an ass, obviously for ratings.

As far as I know he has a TV reputation as being a jerk.
However, I agree that in the business world you don't get as far as he has without being, at the very least, polite, off-camera.

i think he is trying to get the best out of the cooks, by pushing them hard. so this way the winner can make it in the real world in running a restaurant.

My wife made me watch this joke/show. The chef is faking anger the whole way and I wouldn't be suprised if the whole show was a setup. I mean, c'mon, who in their right mind would go to a restaurant and wait 2+ hours for an entree. Especially an entree from a kitchen where tons of yelling and screaming was coming from.
Most reality shows suck, but this one brings new depths to suckage.

because the food was free. and they know its free because they tell the customers the cooks are in training.

they're gonna put the winner on the Real World? that show sucks too.

The chef in question, is a Michelin-star winning chef from England and, surprisingly, a former Scottish soccer star. He's no fake, and apparently has always had a hell of a temper.

no silly :)
i mean the winner of the show will have his own restaurant to run in real life.
Food network carried another of Ramseys' shows.....Ramseys kitchen nightmares....it was really really good.If you ever get a chance to watch them do so,it is worth it.It involves him trying to save failing restaraunts by changing the menu, kitchenstaff etc etc.
And BTW he acts like this in that show also...swearing and yelling at all the cooks, waitstaff and the owners of the restaraunts he is trying to rescue.

I think that is a better premise for a show.

I know the food network one but didnt he have a show on BBC before? I swear i remember watching it before, he was a major ass there too, but the show was more from the other peoples perspectives, the ones who were having to put up with his crap..he was the ass not so much the main star so i doubt he's acting MUCH in Hells kitchen..I missed most of the show but caught the begining and Cringer saw it and he said he was pleasantly surprised in that he liked it, soo im gonna try to catch it next time...i think we both were more inrigues with that Elsie chick who in no way looks 40

I watched it, I'll probably watch it again. It was a lot better than that crappy NBC Restaurant show.

Of course he is going to be an A-hole, thats the whole point of the show. Thats why they connect him to fellow Brit Simon Cowell. As for Ramsay, he's one the top chefs in the world, and has numerous restaurants in the world (I think 10), and his London one I believe is ranked in the top ten every year as the best in the world.
