Wow. That was just shooting fish in a barrel. Sounds like a lot of people that live in NW Washington, and that's not a shot at Washingtonians. Perhaps it's because I live in the WORST college town in America, but I'm jut calling it as I see it. (Hell, I'm not even that patriotic)

Come on. That's a joke. Hannity and Colmes are the bigger morons, though. You can't criticize someone as not being "bright" or worth the time and then PUT HIM ON YOUR TV SHOW. It is a battle for who looks stupider in that discussion. The guy at least accomplished his intended goal which was to get attention. And it looks like after the TV show, someone bid for his website and he sold it. So, he gets national TV attention and cash. Hannity and Colmes' show should be cancelled after this pathetic crap. If this was the best they could come with, it just isn't worth the bandwidth.

Standard John Galt response here. I am right. The *other side* is wrong.

Ok, you win.

Dola.

Seriously though. At least I break out of "my side's" position on occasion. i have never seen JG do this. I've read him and read him, and I have agreed with him on occasion, but I have never respected him.

JG, your positions ring hollow because you seem to hold the world view that you most condemn: Black and White. Not only that, but your posts hold a certain self-assured......obedience, for lack of a better word. I have never seen you concede an important point to anyone, which even the smartest person in the world would be forced to do (since there are things no one can fully understand). You are definitely not the smartest person in the world.

Schmidty, it helps to read other people's posts before you say dumb things about them. What exactly do you think is my position that I never jump out of? Is it the Democratic Party? Certainly not. Is it your imaginary view of what a liberal looks like? If that's the case, I'm a pretty good mind reader. How can you accuse someone of adopting a party line when you can't even name what party I'm in line with? I concede points here and there, but you are probably right that I have conceded very view "important" points. Then again, unlike you, I only try to post on threads I have prior knowledge about. I prefer not to talk out of my ass. That is why I limit myself to certain politics threads and law threads. When I do not know much about an issue, I say so up front and don't take a position until I know more.

As for my worldview being black and white, you obviously haven't read most of what I posted. Especially lately, I've been hammering the themes that the claims to black and white ideology are the source of most evil in the world. I have no claim to absolute truth or authority and I believe those who do (like JoninmiddleGA and Chubby) are the greatest threat to freedom. How have I argued anything in this thread that is Black and White? I called Hannity (a dumbass conservative) an idiot. I called Colmes (a dumbass liberal) an idiot. I called the guest on the program (a dumbass who just wants some attention) an idiot. The only thing I've been black and white about is that they are all idiots.

As for the rest of your post, fuck you too.

dola,

From earlier today in another thread:

Because Nietzche is so fundamental, I guess that could be. Of course, his influence has been to both positive and negative sources. I'll back off my earlier statement - I'm considering Nietzsche, but definitely not for the reasons described in that conservative hackjob list.

That's interesting. I guess I had thought since "total war" has largely been abandoned, I didn't think of its harm previous to the present time.

And strangely, in my list of 20th Century most harmful books, I included a book by Marx, a book by Mao, a book by Lenin, Being and Nothingness, and the Silent Spring. Yeah, I'm a hack alright.

You are a true scholar. I salute you and your expansive intellect.

By the way, I am not a conservative, Sparky. Bush is a twink...for many reasons. You claimn, I don't read your posts, yet you obviously have never read mine. Typical for people like you.

I have had a few beers. My daughter is at the in-laws. :)

(This should in no way nullify my point though. Just my grammar and spelling)

This is your funniest post yet.

I'll give you $1000, care of Skydog, if you can point to where in my post I call you a conservative. Seriously, I'll put the check in the mail tomorrow. You have the whole FOFC community as witness.

And then you claim I haven't read your posts? Kettle, you are beyond black.

Of course "people like [me]" actually believe in replying to what people said, but I guess you don't. You still haven't told me what party line I'm adhering to. That makes your whole rude criticism a gigantic pile of poop.

Everytime I see Hannity and Colmes written, I chuckle thinking of how Al Franken writes it: Hannity and Colmes.

Hannity IS a total jackass.

The more shocking clip would be one of him not being a jackass. Now that I'd watch.

All I heard was:

Hannity: Blah blah blah

Michael Crook: Yadda yadda yadda

They're both morons. I have to agree with some of JG's points. You can't criticize someone for "not being bright or worth the time and then PUT HIM ON YOUR TV SHOW" - I entirely agree with this. Because if they're on your TV show and they aren't worth it, by extension, the TV show isn't worth it. That would have been a lot more entertaining if they stuck Hannity, Crook, some Black Panthers and KKK members on the Jerry Springer show. Now that's entertainment.

Hannity is a total jackass and would lose a debate against someone of even average intelligence if he didn't have control of the camera and the microphone.
