Is there multiplayer mode in EHM 2005, and if so, how does it work?

is it like FOF or is it like CM?

Yes there are:

Network Games
===============
It works in much the same manner as in the prior NHL EMH game (and our previous soccer sims).

One player sets up as the server and everyone else connects to him and plays as normal, everyone has to press continue before the game date moves on.

Round robin
===========
You can alternatively play multi-player on one PC by simply having multiple users entered on it (you can do this on a network game also) and taking turns to do your stuff ...
