Ok, the Puke Green Socks Rally worked on my opponent, but apparently it had some ill effect on my team as well...

In this week's league game, I lost two of my trainees. My star trainee is out for 4 weeks while my fourth best is out for 5 weeks (this after just getting my 3rd guy to a band-aid this week). So, now that I have two trainee slots open, I think I'm going to get a 17yo.

Right now, I have two 19yos and four 20yos. The 19yos are both excellent, and the 20yos are all formidable. All but one 19yo have inadequate passing.

In one of the other posts recently, some of the scorer trainers said to go with at least passable passing when buying. If I do that, can I get away with passable scoring? Or should I invest in a solid scorer? I'm trying to stick with US players, especially if he's around for a while.

Thanks!!

I don't see any reason not to buy a passable/passable 17 year old. Problem might be finding one that will fit in your budget, it's still early in the season and trainee prices are a bit inflated. But just a quick search shows only 3 US players with pass/pass so it seems highly possible that they will all get out of your price range, especially if there are other managers looking specifically for US trainees.

thanks hhiipp
I agree on the US trainees. I just don't think that I will be able to swing the prices, so I think I'll have to go foreign. I'll see how it goes.

regarding trainees: it depends what level you are selling them at. For me as a playmaking trainer, that level is SN since I do not want to afford the salaries at 25k for one player. Americans have a premium to purchase them... just ask tk. :)
