I can't get into it right now. :(

This is a game I dearly love, but for whatever reason I can't delve into another season. I think it's a sub-conscious fear/hope that TCY2 is lurking just over the horizon. I'll open the saved game up, look at the roster screen, pull out my various other supporting documents (yeah, I am a TCY geek), and then my enthusiasm wanes.

GOOD GOD, MAN, WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!?

You are not alone.

The last time that I tried to play (with WVU, of course), I couldn't get into it because of the half-ass state of the Big East in TCY (w/o Miami and Va Tech, but before Louisville, Cincy, and S. Fla joined up). I couldn't get into a nice, 30-year dynasty, knowing that the conferences were all in an in-between state.

Hopefully TCY 2 will allow you to edit the conferences as well as team prestige and other stuff.

We're only 20something days from the middle of 2005.

Did Jim say he'd make an announcement midway through 2005? Is that why you say that?

Did Jim say he'd make an announcement midway through 2005? Is that why you say that?Unless something has changed, that's why I remember. Obviously, I'm not suggesting that we gather the pitchforks and torches if July 3rd comes and goes without an announcement, but my point was simply that an announcement may not be far off.

From Solecismic Software FAQ webpage:

What's next for Solecismic Software?

At this time, we're not ready to release information about our next project. Look for news releases on this web site in mid-2005.

Mind you, that hasn't been updated since January 2005. I think I saw Jim post something else in another thread somewhere too.

Haven't seen Jim around lately. One can only hope this means he is busy with the finishing touches of Front Office Baseball!

(And updated schedules and conferences for TCY also, of course!)

After having my heart broken on last years "Non-Release" I am going to demand Blood if I don't see a new FOF game hit the market soon.

Yes, I know Jim could of called last years Patch an Expansion Pack and charged $19.99 for it.

It's gonna be Front Office Drag Racing. Complete with teenage girls and garage doors!

He's still in mourning that Mikalah Gordon didn't win American Idol.

He already said that it wasn't gonna be a baseball game for this year.
