I am trying to fomulate a plan for my team and I have a player that will be popping to titanic soon. I had originally planned to sell him at that point but because the IV.6 division is so tough, I might need to wait until he pops to ET so my trainees can get better. Any idea on the value of (or would anyone have any interest in) a 23 y/o, American, ET playmaker with passable passing?
HAM says 5.3M : http://www.lokesoftware.dk/ham/hamtpestats.cfm?Skill=1
However, past titanic (ie at ET, the ROI for each extra level is decreasing). I would sell at titanic.

I bought a 22yo titanic PM with passable Passing last season for 5.1M. That said, I was seeing a lot of instances of ETs selling for less than titanics because of wages. You might have to be patient trying to sell an ET while at titanic, you'll get more bites.

Thanks guys. Anyone want to trade? Selling off the player at Titanic will probably cause me to demote - I'd rather not do that, but I don't want to kill my profits.
FWIW, I am in the same boat as you. I do have a few titanic PM guys that I will keep this year (knowing I don't earn extra money from them this year) as I am a legitimate contender for my Division title.

If you're good with the market and patient, you can make this work for you. Float him for higher than market value until someone bites and replace him with a comprable American (or Frenchie, in Alf's case) to help your wages. I floated a 21yo Norwegian titan pm/solid pass for about 2 weeks before getting a bite at $5.7M and turned around and bought a 22yo American titan pm/pass pass for $5.1M. Comparable performance and age but wage saving and didn't really cost much even after transfer fees. I did that with all of my middies- I sold 5 of my 6 trainees and both half trainees then bought 2 new middies (to go with the American trainee) and a WTM player so that my big wage middies are all American which saves me $20K+ per week.

You should be able to get some interest for him from USA div III and up teams for sure.. those teams need that level players and probably would want to have an american to save on wages...
If it were one of my players i'd be able to sell for like 6.5m in Holland. I'm not too well known with the US market though :)

I'm stuck in a situation like that as well, been working on getting my final PM batch done (3 American & 1 jap 18yo's) so despite having 2 titanics my midfield is still being beaten easily in my D.IV series. Selling one at the end of this season, e-t or mythical, the other I'll have to keep for at least one more season (~utopian :() just to stay competitive.
Maybe there'll be some Israeli or Turkish teams ready for them.

i got 4.2mil for a supernatural playmaker without much in secondaries...
i think it helped that he got mini-bidwar with an estonian club (he's from eesti) winning him..
