You heard it right, be part of the first FOF league where you can actually win money. $5 a season gets you a fictional team and players (via an allocation draft), all of which you can name, in the newest league on the net!

Each season the money is awarded this way:
Wild card teams will receive $5 (breaking even)
Division winners will receive $10
Conference champions will receive $20
Dynasty Bowl winner will receive $20 (in essence, the Dynasty Bowl winner will have won either $45 or $50)

Wekly updates by John Madden and the Swami himself, Chris Berman, along with many other extras await you if you sign up before we're full. Only dedicated and fun owners need apply.

Sign up here: http://www.dfl.cc

There will be a waiting list once the league is full.

Thought I'd make you aware that if you've already created the league, you won't be able to relocate teams. The game will allow you to "change" the team affiliation, but it won't take. Nicknames, of course, can be changed anytime after a career has started, just not team/city affiliations.

Right... I am renaming the cities...

For some reason, I have "Atlanta" twice. If I rename Atlanta, it renames both teams... any thoughts?

Edit: Duh

I thought about doing something like this, but realized down the road Dead teams would be almost impossible to "Sell" Making new owners pay for a team that is still years away from being Competitive is going to be a tough hurdle to cross.

How do you plan on filling league vacancies?

Most MPs leagues are filled with dead teams that would take at least 5 games years or over a year in real time to turnaround. How do you convince a new owner to come in and throw away money for the next 5 or 6 yerars as they try to rebuild their team, stadium, staff and get out of Cap problems all at the same time?

BTW-- I came to the conclusion that a Money League would have to be some type of Paramutual Betting System.

Initially I will be drafting for "dead teams" (if there are any) and believe me they won't be pushovers. Down the road, if an owners bails from a team that is far from being competitive, I have no problem personally covering the $5 season charge for the first year or two. I'll handle that when the situation arrises.

BTW-- I came to the conclusion that a Money League would have to be some type of Paramutual Betting System

Explain that for me please.

Explain that for me please.

Simply put, your league yearly entrance fee would be based on team strength. The better teams in the league would be required to submit more money than the worse teams. Think of it as betting on your team to win the SuperBowl.

Right now, with all teams being equal the entrance fee would be the same for everyone. But, in years to come the fees would start to vary for every team.

Although, simply giving new teams a"Free" pass for the first couple seasons may solve your Dead Team problem.

May be a bit too complicated... We'll cross that road when we get to it. For now, teams that are far from being competitive will have a season or two "comp'd" by me when entering the league.
