All right, now that the media orgy has died down, hopefully we can discuss the Red Sox rationally without inspiring anger in others. Except for Yankees fans of course.

After blowing the doors off the Phillies by a total of 27-9, and a Baltimore loss they are now clearly ensconced in first. Also of positive note, the Yankees are currently losing to the Mets 1-0 in a pitchers duel. A loss would drop them back below .500, where they clearly deserve to be now and forever.

Right now I'd say my biggest concern is the inability of the pitching staff to hold leads. Like today they almost blew a huge lead, only to get bailed out by Manny.
