who live in the cities of Cincinnati OH, Louisville KY, Nashville TN, Jackson MS, and Houston TX, and all the cities, towns, farms and suburbs in between. The fireworks were great! That is one of the best things about my job, and why working on the 4th isn't as bad as it could be.

Did you get some insight as to what it would have been like to fly in 'nam?

God no, if I needed that I just need to ask my dad. :) Maybe if the fireworks got more than a couple hundred feet off the ground, but otherwise no.

I went with my fiancee' to the house of some friends of her parents. They live on this huge lot on the outskirts of Fort Worth, and the view from their back yard was amazing last night. All around us fireworks were going off, the entire horizon was filled with colorful explosions. Extremely cool, I tell you...

Last year, I was on the road up to Minneapolis that night and it's hard not to be distracted by all the fireworks shows while driving.

Try to fly over Cincinnati again the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Those fireworks will dwarf anything you saw yesterday.

Oh, and how did my roof look? Is it still in good shape?

Ack, I just realized you live here. So you know what I'm talking about re: Labor Day weekend.

I was just wondering about this...if pilots have the best seat in the house on July 4th. Must be pretty damn sweet.
