*click on My Computer*
*see "Local Disk (F:)"*

.....fuck. (It should say "Shogun (F:)")

*Double click on "Local Disk (F:)"*
*see pop up that reads "The disk drive F is not formatted...Do you want to format it now?"*

........fuck.

*realize I probably just lost 200 gigs of data*
*blood preassure goes off the charts*

Urge to kill....rising.

Anyone know of any utility that will basically force its way into F: so I can atleast save some of the data by copying it on my C:? Or any utility that could possibly save the drive? Nothing on it is vitally important, but it would royally suck if I lost all of this stuff. (Mostly video (boxing matches, music videos, etc.), ebooks, games, etc.)

BartPE (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/)

This is a recovery console that, in my experience, has an amazing track record of being able to read disks that Windows can't read. You'll need to have your Windows CD available.

This saved my bacon more than a few times.

There is another program that works called SpinRite

Even Loe Laporte from TechTV said it's a good program to use for hard drive recovery.
