So...they're up to 17 games now. Will they surpass the 21 game losing streak by those rampaging 1988 Orioles? Will the likes of Rich Schu, Ken Gerhart, Oswald Peraza, Jeff Stone, etc., let go of their claim to fame?
Stay tuned!

Well, we're up to 19 games and we have this little gem as well:
"It's 19 now? Wow," starting pitcher Jose Lima (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5212) said. "I feel terrible, because I have pride."
This coming from a guy with a lifetime 5.13 ERA (6.47 in 2005) and who was sued last December and ordered to pay $950k to a former girlfriend for giving her herpes. Dude, the guy's got pride!

Going against Zito and Blanton in the next two games - I feel pretty confident that they'll at least tie the record.

I'm sure they'll show it a few hundred times on ESPN, but the best play from Friday's game was on a grounder to first where Mike Sweeney and Lima raced to the bag and got there just in time to crash into each other and nearly knocked Lima out cold. Amazingly, they record the out, but it was still a Bad News Royals moment.
This may be the most pathetic display I've ever seen. Everyday that goes by without someone losing their job over this puts me closer and closer to that group that hates David Glass.
