He wants to get the kinks out I guess. If you are bored with FOFC you may want to check it out. He said this addition is mostly a roster patch on 2005's edition and fixes somes bugs and ai problems.

I traded the edge for alex brown, lance briggs, and chris gamble (all rated above 90's in the game). I also was able to draft a 95 overall runningback in the 2nd round. uggh.

Perhaps a more or less open beta process would pick up on subtle problems (like, say, a 61 interception season) more readily than a cozy band of testers would.

Yep, sure worked for Baseball Mogul. We reported 100's of bugs, only a handful were fixed, and the game shipped on a date that was pre-determined months earlier. 6 months later we still don't have a playable product.

However, on the plus side, his passing ratings have climbed to 60/75/53/72. Mobility dropped to 70, though, and his peak went from 99 to 66.

I'm also still in need of roster feedback. For example, it was just pointed out that Matt Hasselbeck was missing (he wasn't assigned to a team in our data files for some reason). A list as short as 1 or as long as 100, of guys that are on the wrong team, rated incorrectly, or whatever, would be helpful.
There are numerous other shortcomings with the game but player ratings shouldn't be one of them. :)

FWIW there still exists a bug in the Standings.txt output that I posted about 3 fecking years ago. The output shows the AFC West twice - instead of NFC West ( which is not shown at all ). http://www.sportsmogul.com/vbulletin2/showthread.php?t=17234

I always hoped that he would put stop with football mogul and really push baseball mogul into something special. I always root (right root?) for baseball mogul as it was the first text sim I ever purchased, but it really hasn't evolved a whole lot.
