Is there a "rotation" system that I should be sticking to when training? I train mids and excluding my wingers, here is a listing of my 6 mids:

21yo - Outstanding
20yo - Outstanding
20yo - Outstanding
20yo - Formidable
19yo - Excellent
18yo - Solid

What I'm wondering is, should I be periodically selling off one of my top guys in order to bring in a new trainee so I don't have any large gaps in talent levels? I suppose this can be cured by purchasing higher level trainees which is something I couldn't do when I first started, but now that is more feasible. But if I don't want to do that and stick to buying lower level (passables/solids) trainees then is this something I should take into consideration?

Also, what level do you normally train someone to before selling them off?

There's any number of ways you can do it -- I've just recently started a plan where I sell at Titanic and re-buy at Magnificent. The longer you hold on to a trainee, the better his selling price, obviously...but take age into account. Unless you need money or the player is getting too old to train, I wouldn't bother selling them off until you get to Magnificent, at least.

My training program works on a 6-season rotating schedule. At the end of each season I sell off my oldest trainee (unless he's close to the next level, in which case I might wait a week or two into the next season) and bring in a 17-year old. For the most part, a player ends up as a trainee until he's 19 years old, then cracks the lineup between ages 20-22. After that he gets sold off.
