just got an email from my wife.

the annoying guy in my row is on one of his clueless rants basically comparing Katrina to 9/11, but, since the people in LA had a week's warning they basically were asking for it.

by the time I get to work, the chick who sits next to him will have arrived. Last night, I had to endure hearing how the people who didn't evacuate didn't leave because they aren't as educated as the ones who did go.

My only hope is that the two of them will start discussing it now before I get there, get in their inevitable huge hissy fit of a fight, and then not speak to each other for the remainder of the night. Either that, or maybe I'll get lucky and develop some huge deposit of wax in my ears thar renders me temporarily deaf.

If I didn't have an ipod that I listen to 6 hours a day or more at work, I probably would have quit by now due to similar frustrations.

No worries. Possession (of the Penguin Hat) is 9/10ths of the law.

well, the female just ran out of here in tears, I believe due to sadness over all the stories she's reading about the hurricane.

ipod is on...only 7 hours and 46 minutes to go...
