I think I'm liking Margaret with her favorite sports teams: Pittsburgh Steelers, WVU Mountaineers.

Danni has some big collagenated lips, but is a sports talk show host in Kansas.

I haven't heard of her. But a) I don't listen to 610 sports (I prefer 810) and b) I don't listen to the radio at 10am-12pm on Sundays.

Speculations?

I hope the female is Elizabeth. I loved her.

I think Elizabeth just had a baby, so she might not be too likely.

Tough to guess without knowing whether or not they would bring back any "all stars."

Rumor I heard was it was Stephanie and Bobby Jon.

I started watching last season, after having only watched half of season 1, season 2, and all star, a couple of shows in and was glad I did so. I think I might take the wait and see approach again as I have no real interest in bad Survivor.

Damn, if she's there I hope she wins it all. She deserved to win it when her team couldn't win crap, but stuck in there longer than I think anyone else would have.
All the while she was doing everything to pull that team on her shoulders.

I can't imagine one player in any Survivor who I think could have lasted longer than she did in that situation.

Burnett and his team always edit the show to give you a twist, so showing Bobby Jon a lot was almost an indicator that he wasn't gonna be voted off... I wasn't surprised they voted off the old dude though. You have to choose between keeping any young dude who's suffered cramps, or threw up in the treck to the camp, or the old man who just snapped his bicep (or whatever gave way in his arm)...

Can't believe Danni outed Gary. I mean I would think he was already retired and nigh forgotten when she was a teen. He's been going under a different last name on the show, so the only thing I could of is that she did a "where are they now?" on her show. Could be trouble if they're both around when the merge happens.

I had been thinking Bill Walton, but I like Super Dave a lot better. Good call.

I love that the question was properly worded, so that he actually had to lie. If they would have said something like, "I thought you said you were a landscaper?" or "Are you an NFL quarterback?" he could have wiggled his way out. I'm not sure if he has actually lied about his last name, but I hope he has to at some point. In any case, the "Who? Me?" is a classic Survivor moment.

Nono, that comment was clearly directed right at Judd... Jeff does this kind of stuff often, and many times I'm a fan, but this time it was very "prof. obvious"...

I'm getting very annoyed at how "strength-driven" survivor challenges have become... even when there's some "logic" challenge, it is preceded by a physical element.. there are rarely pure-thinking immunity challenges anymore... and that has driven it so that voting strategies are so obvious...

She's a co-host of a sports radio program in Kansas. She's a fan of the Chiefs. Gary last played for the Cowboys in 1985, she was around 10 years old then. His last season in the NFL was 1989 for the Phoenix Cardinals, she would have been 14 years old (this based on her survivor profile saying she's 30).

Are you telling me she could identify a QB who hasn't played in 16 years?

Could you tell it was him when all he's said is his name is Gary Hawkins, landscaper from Michigan?

Just a little insight to the Hogeboom getting spotted by Danni. I have read on another board from people who have actually heard Danni on the radio that her father was a huge Cowboys fan growing up. Also, most of the times these guys catch sight of each other before they ever end up going to shoot the show. She could have done a little research on him before getting to the island.

Or she might just be that good.

Or the producers might have given her the information.

Either way she needs to eat something. I think she is ridiculously thin.

I think that this swap really removes the integrity from the game. Not that Survivor ever really has any... I view it a lot more as an entertainment program than a true game. They just make and change rules anytime they want to make it exciting on TV.

That would be like an NBA game where the referee suddenly announces that it's full contact, and then 5 minutes later it's 4 on 4.

And onto the Gary thing, I think that he should have admitted he was in the NFL 15 years ago. I mean, how much money did they make back then? Certainly nothing like it is these days...

If Gary says "I got my butt kicked, made fun of in the press and death threats to my family for 10 years because I wasn't that good and in my best year made 120,000 before the owner took his half to pay for the hotels and plane rides", he's in the clear. It's a much more believable lie and may negate the "NFL QBs all make $100 million" idea

Any tv tapon rag show where the host (who acts like hot shit but in reality couldnt last one week under the contestants conditions) can mind $uck someone into quitting in order to keep the popular honey around really doesnt mean much to me.
From what I heard about this season, it sounds like none of the new contestants have learned anything from the previous seasons.

I, too, am annoyed by Jeffy and how he thinks he's hot shit. The good news is that I heard that he will not renew his contract once it's up, so there are a finite number of seasons we have left with him. I guess it's because he wants to spend more time with the chick he hooked up with on the show.

For all it's weaknesses, it's still got a lot of enterntainment value. It's the only show on TV that my wife, my kids, and I all sit down to watch. That in itself makes it the best show on TV in my mind.

Now, if I can get the family to watch football and shut up about it at the same time, I'd be set. :)

Yay, Steph can shut up about losing now.

Cool that Gary was able to convince his tribe to make a vote that would even out the members of old/new Yaxha. Of course, Blake helped vote himself out with the bragging.

That is so no Bobby Jon. What an idiot. I cannot see him as that kinda guy. He is definitely not the guy that was an all-athlete in high school. Interesting twist to the immunity with the vote happening before they knew who had immunity. Didn't effect the outcome though.

Very entertaining. Judd just couldn't shut up in the council. I think that Margaret tried her best, but just baiting him wasn't good enough.

Interesting that Brian was voted off. They didn't devote too much time to that. And on the immunity challenge, it was pretty obvious Judd wanted Rafe to get immunity instead of Margaret and he played it off pretty poorly: "Damn, I can't believe I told you the answer."

but this is the second season where they have done this stupid "Vote Off From Both Teams" crap... I think it is ridiculous that in this game you have to vote someone off even though you don't lose... I don't think it adds something good to the game and actually harms things overall..

Gary made it to the jury!

The former Yaxha tribe is doomed. I hate the editing that the producers do. It actually looked like they would have ganged up on Jamie but noooo. Oh well, if Nakum's order stays the same then Bobby Jon is going next. I'm kinda hoping that Bobby Jon would just slug Jamie, maybe right after Jeff says he's the next survivor that has been eliminated.

I wonder why Gary was last on their hitlist, is Dani a bigger threat?

The hidden immunity is interesting. I wonder if the producers will show someone finding it or keep it a secret until the person reveals it at tribal.

Looks like Bobby Jon is next, unless the '6' decide to vote out a bad apple (Jamie/Judd) because they will still have a 5 on 3 advantage.

Rafe was being very wishy-washy. It's a freaking game! Also, Jamie is probably the most annoying guy, but he's playing the game well. Combine being extremely annoying and telling the truth he could win it all. Being annoying could get him into the final 2. Telling the truth could win it. He's also pretty physical so he has a good shot of winning immunity every time.

Bobby Jon won't vote for him. If he gets to the final with Either of the Jersey people they will vote for the other jersey person. If neither of the Jersey people make it they will vote against Jamie because he must have broken his alliance at some point.

So I already see him having 2 maybe 3 votes against him

Jamie has zero chance of winning the million.

If I am Steph, I am keeping Jamie and Judd close to me, because those two present the best chance for her to win the money.

If I am Rafe or Zookeeperwithfakeboobs, then I am going to seriously re-examine where I stand in the alliance of 6 and look to either flip the game next week or at the very least vote off a physical challenge threat within the alliance like Jamie or Judd or Steph.

I disagree with you guys. If Jamie makes it to the final 2, he's almost a lock to win...especially if he's with Judd, Steph, Bobby Jon, or Lydia. Why? Let's take a look at it.

1. Against Judd, he's an honest fella. He never flip flopped and while he may be a poor sport, he's always been a straight shooter about his alliance.

2. Steph and Bobby Jon. I don't think anyone would vote for them to have a second chance.

3. Lydia. There's no way she wins this. Even against Jamie.

That leaves Danni, Zookeeper, QB, and Rafe. I still think the QB will be outed.

My wife started making a case for Lydia to make it to the final 3 last night and I can see a situation where she does not get voted out as a threat, gets lucky at a fish throwing challenge and gets to the final 5 with Rafe, Judd, Steph and Jamie. If Judd, Steph or Jamie swings into an alliance with Lydia and Rafe thinking that she/he can win the challenge and take his/her pick into the final 2 they still have to get votes from a person that seems to have been very nice to everyone.

What probably happens is Rafe and Lydia try to flip something and get caught, then get voted out. Or Rafe flips back and forth so much he gets whiplash and is voted out in a fit of mercy by everyone.

Every Survivor season, there is a group that says they are going to stick together, and at some point, that falls apart. Was it two seasons ago that the all girls alliance got cracked before the final 4?

I think Rafe is the wild-card here. I think he'll get tired of Jamie and Judd's initimidating ways and save Danni and Gary next week. If they get rid of Jamie, they'll still have the numbers over Danni and Gary.

Cindy is this seasons token coat-tails rider.

The one nice thing about Survivor has always been that fool-proof alliances, once they get to disproportioned (6 vs 3 or 5 vs 2) usually result in the weaker members of the big alliance realizing that they are next once the small group is history, and we've seen enough times that the weaker members of the "A" group split and join with the weaker alliance to pull the big voting surprise at immunity.

Hopefully the weak members of this tribe will pull their heads out of their asses before it's too late. I don't mind Judd, but Jamie creeps me out. That dude's got to go.

One thing that would make Survivor better is if they took a page from the show Lost and had a season where two seperate competitions went on at the same time. Meaning there were four tribes in seperate areas. The tribes competed two vs two until there were eight people left in each game. Then the twist was revealed to the Survivors: Your game is only half over. You now "merge" with the two other tribes for a 16 person free for all for $5 million dollars.

I think that:

A) He was really starting to annoy the members of his alliance.

B) They didn't really need him to get to the end.

C) Stephanie made a power play to put herself squarely in control of the alliance.

Rafe is clearly in Steph's camp, Lydia seems to be tagging along with Rafe, Danni / Gary seem to have been backed into a corner and paired up, Judd just lost his biggest ally, and we have no clue where Cindy's allegiance lays.

So what do Judd and Cindy do next week? I say Judd joins with Gary and Danni, Steph pulls in Cindy, and we have a 3 v 4 going. I could see Steph trying to dump Judd next, then go after Gary, as Gary is just not winning immunity challenges right now.

I think this stays along tribal lines. Steph and Rafe are in control and probably saw their biggest threat in Jamie. They've done a good job making the numbers work for them so this was the perfect time to get rid of one of their own and start making their alliance more manageable.

I don't see Judd breaking away from Steph. She'll give him the assurances he needs that Jamie was a necessary sacrifice.

The problem with these dominant alliances though is that the people on the fringe (outside the central core) start wondering where they fit in the final four. That's when things start getting flip floppy. If Cindy or Lydia or Judd goes free agent, then things could shift.

And for the love of god, please show more challenges where dannie and steph slink through the mud. ;)

Based on how last night went, we're really now looking at three alliances. Danni/Gary, Judd/Cyndi and Steph/Rafe/Lydia. The orignal alliance has to be considered broken since Judd/Cyndi were left out of the loop on Jamie.

On the surface it makes sense for Judd/Cyndi to reform their alliance with the other three and just move on. But they should be careful about that -- it's pretty obvious that if that's the final five, Judd and Cyndi will be the next two to go. The same holds true for Gary/Danni if they join the group of three.

The power move here would be for Judd/Cyndi to team up with Gary/Danni. They have the numbers to pick off the other three. They don't owe them any loyalty anymore. And they could wind up in a final four that was evenly split into two groups, giving everyone a shot at victory.

Of course, the easier path would be to just lean on Lydia and get her to jump back to her original alliance. My guess is that's the way it goes, assuming Judd can keep it together long enough to not get himself kicked off the show.

I don't want to see Steph or Judd win (man). I wouldn't mind Rafe, Cindy, or Danni...although my first choice would probably be Danni.

Gary waited too long to pin Judd on the Idol lie. It's not like the survivors had time to rethink or restrategize, knowing Judd lied. Too bad, I was rooting for Gary. I guess I'll root for Danni now. Stephenie def. went from one of my top faves to bottom after her episode tonight.

I, too, am rooting for Danni. While I didn't particularly like Steph's attitude last night, I disagree with Lydia's "I deserve to eat" thing. She doesn't deserve shit and she's lucky to be there. It's her fault that Rafe, Cindy, and Jamie didn't eat in the mud challenge.

Lydia's self-righteous eating of the lentil soup when the other's got back from the waterfall was nauseating. Suck it up, Lydia. If you constantly bitch, people will get sick of you and vote you off because, believe it or not, you have little value in Survivor.

Stephanie really came across as the mother lion/hyena last night (especially her looking down from the ruins - it looked like the queen looking down at the peasants). I know their final four is going to make it - my only hope is that ANYONE other than Stephanie in that group of 4 takes the crown.

Oh - and Judd is just nuts - was GREAT to see him called out on a lie at the tribal council. To call out Gary on his background dealings was just shocking - it's how you play the game - it's freakin' Survivor, for crying out loud.

Tough to see Gary go, but more than made up for by him getting in the instant classic "You can all get her autograph after the show" line (and accompanying guffaws from the jury), essentially burying Steph's chances of winning this thing. Brilliant!

Count me as officially on the Rafe bandwagon. He just seems like a genuinely good guy.

There goes the comedy from the show. I think it was a bad move by Steph as I would think she lost Judd's vote if she makes it to the final.

Cindy has a twin sister, eh? http://images.dvdtalk.com/images/smilies/naughty.gif

Danni did great at the auction. First the giant cheesesteak sandwich and then help with the immunity.

It's funny, because if Judd got voted off 2nd from last, Steph probably still would have lost his vote because he thinks it was her idea to vote off Jamie, when it was actually Rafe. And I kinda felt bad for Lydia that Judd didn't pick her to spend time with her brother, whom she hadn't seen in 2 years.

Danni is in a pretty good position of power here. She hasn't really lied to anyone yet and should be able to hold Lydia and Rafe together to get to the final three. She probably already has Gary and Bobby Jon's vote and the alliance of four will probably be pissed and not vote for Rafe if he makes it without them and it looks pretty clear that the remaining players do not think Lydia is deserving to be there.

Go Danni.

I thought that was the funniest line of the show last night.

Did Danni make out at the auction or what? She had two items to eat, and got immunity. I told my wife that if it were me, I'd go for the food instead of seeing her for about 24 hours. #1: I'm playing a game for $1 million and it's down to the final six, so I need my strength. #2: I'll see her in about 10 days anyhow.

I've officially moved from "annoyed by Steph" to "actively rooting against her".

The look on her face when Danni switched spots with her at the challenge, even though it was an obvious move... I mean, does she honestly feel like she's the only person allowed to try to win? Is everyone else just supposed to be actively helping her? I feel bad for her boyfriend, she seems like she has that pleasantly female combination of egomaia and paranoia.

P.S. Rafe may be playing one of the best games of Survivor I've ever seen. The guy is running the show in terms of strategy and winning all sorts of challenges, yet you get the feeling that nobody views him as a threat. This guy is going to sail to the $1 million if he keeps this up.

I'm definitely in the camp that is rooting against Steph. She was so whiny last season about always being on the losing team (not to mention she always place the blame on someone else), and now that she is in a good position, she talks down to anyone who opposes her. Screw her. I want anyone but her to win.

I was rooting for Gary all along, but now I'm hoping for Rafe or Danni. Glad to see big idiot go last night. "I never lied!"

What about Jeff's entry on a helicopter when he's hanging off the side of it!

As for the episode... Danni almost played that move awfully. She should have just kept it until the final moment to make a switch, when she 100% knew that she would be out and one person had an extra move on her. Maybe she counted, but I doubt it. It was a good game nonetheless. Glad to see Judd gone, I felt kinda bad to see him go, but boy, he was a fool.

If Steph had just gone and talked to Judd, Lydia'd be at home right now. Judd could have said (without lying) "Look, Lydia was asking me about this stuff, and I wasn't just going to tell her she was going home. I was blowing smoke, that's it." But Steph is so paranoid she bought the bare facts without looking at the reasoning, and now she's lost her position of power. I think she's the next to go right now, as all it will take is Rafe, Lydia, and Danni, and now that Cindy has been blindsided by Steph it could easily be 4-1.

He said this morning that he didn't lie. From the survivorsucks ezboard:

Rene Syler: For the second time in as many weeks a member of Stephenie's once rock solid alliance was totally blindsided at Tribal Council. Last night it was hotel doorman Judd Sergeant who was shown the door.

<Tribal Council video clip>

Rene: Judd Sergeant, ewww, you were so bitter and so angry last night.

Judd: Totally!

Rene: How do you feel this morning?

Judd: Oh.

Rene: Still angry?

Judd: Still angry, of course. I mean, I'm not angry, I mean you gotta get over it, I mean, but, I was totally blindsided.

Rene: Who's responsible for you being here?

Judd: Umm, Stephenie. I mean, I was in a great, strong alliance with her. I thought she had my back and evidently she didn't.

Rene: Well, she likes you. She said just in that clip, "hey, I liked him and everything but he's not going to stand between me and a million bucks."

Judd: <shakes head> Well, that wasn't the case. I really thought that my alliance with her was tight as can be and evidently it wasn't.

Rene: I gotta ask you this because watching that clip, you said, "I never lied in the game", but you did Judd! You did lie! You told everybody that the immunity idol was where? You said it's on the ground. And where was it?

Judd: It was in the tree.

Rene: It was in the tree. That's a lie, Judd.

Judd: I can understand that but we're in competition.

Rene: But you said you didn't lie.

Judd: That's not really a lie, though. When you're in competition...I didn't take it as a lie. Everybody else looked on the ground, though. Except for Gary. Gary's the only one that looked up in the tree. So evidently it kinda worked.

Rene: I watched that last week at Tribal Council and you said, "Okay, I lied. I'm not a good liar." And everybody still went with their initial plan which was to vote Gary out. I thought for sure people would turn around and vote you out.

Judd: Good move by Gary but like I said, our alliance was strong. Me, Steph, Cindy and Rafe were tight. I mean, we were really strong. We played that card.

Rene: Did you know who Gary was.

Judd: I had no idea who Gary was.

Rene: And you're a football fan, right?

Judd: I'm a big football fan, a football player and I had no idea.

Rene: Didn't matter anyway, did it?

Judd: It got to a point where it was around camp that he is a quarterback and I just said to myself, 'well he's in my jungle right now, I don't care what he is.'

Rene: Lydia, last night, boy she was working you and working Rafe. She was all over that camp. You looked like you could barely stand her.

Judd: I...Lydia was working it. Lydia was supposed to go. She was the one that was supposed to get axed. I was saying anything to make her feel comfortable because our alliance had her going. I was basically saying anything to make her happy.

Rene: You won the Reward Challenge last night. You had an opportunity to bring your wife, who you hadn't seen in 28 days, out to camp.

Judd: 31 days.

Rene: You had the opportunity to bring some other Survivors' family members and loved ones out with you. You chose, Cindy and ahhh, who else...

Judd: Stephenie.

Rene: Stephenie's boyfriend. But your wife, she was al little bit spooked, wasn't she, from some of the sights and sounds at camp? In fact, that's our Survivor Secret Scene. Take a look at this:

---------------------------------------------------------

Secret Scene:

Judd: My wife, Stephenie's boyfriend and Cindy's sister, we were all just getting tucked in for the night. I wish a few howler monkeys would go absolutely berserk right now that way they can get a taste of what we've been sleeping in for 31 days. I'm waiting for that loud obnoxious noise to start freaking them out.

<everyone is sleeping, monkeys start howling, Judd's wife wakes up>

Kristen: I hear a monkey. I don't even know what I hear. I can't believe Judd can sleep through this. It's crazy.

------------------------------------------------------------

Rene: One episode in particular, in seemed like you lost a bunch of weight. How much weight did you lose?

Judd: I lost 45 pounds, total.

Rene: You look good.

Judd: I feel great. I mean, I feel great.

Rene: Except that you would have liked to have your wallet a little fatter?

Judd: Absolutely. I wish I was still in Guatemala right now, but...

Rene: Are you gonna speak to Stephenie at the reunion?

Judd: Ummm, we'll see what happens. We'll see what happens. Like I said, I thought me and her were tight, I thought we were pretty good friends. I took her on every reward there was so...she blindsided me, backstabbed me. So we'll have to see how that works out.

Rene: Can you honestly tell me that you wouldn't have done the same thing?

Judd: I wouldn't have done the same thing. I wouldn't have done the same thing. Me and here were pretty close. We had a pretty close alliance. She had promised my wife that she was taking me to the final two. And here I am.

Rene: You valued that friendship and here you are.

Judd: And here I am.

Rene: Judd, it's good to see you, though.

Judd: Well, thank you. Thanks for having me.

Question? How is Danni playing a good game? She made a good move last night, but up to this point she has done nothing. Rafe is playing the best game. Possibly the best Survivor has seen. And as much as you guys are rooting against Steph, her game has been rock solid. She plays her popurlarity well. And now for the second time when others wanted to switch the game up and vote someone in the alliance out, she didnt even blink.

Well, it's very difficult to establish much of a game when your tribe is getting pagonged. Best you can do is play a great social game and make people like you enough so that you're the last one standing from the minority tribe, then see if you can make a move at that point. Though one could theoretically blame her for playing a part in her old tribe's losing ways, she seems to be making the most of what she has to work with, winning immunity when she had to and then coming up with a great scheme to bust up the ruling alliance. If she manages to maneuver to the end she'll have done a good job getting there.

I'd agree Rafe is playing the strongest game though. Steph is owning the game, but Rafe is stealthily owning Steph.

I don't know if I would say for sure that Cindy will vote against Steph. We only got to see 3 votes, so Cindy could be of the mind that the 3 were Rafe, Danni, and Lydia. Hopefully she's smarter than that. I really don't see Steph winning at all. Even if she gets to the final 2, it would be very hard for me to believe she would get enough votes.
