Just checked and saw that my wages went up $15k from last season's $27k.http://dynamic.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif
My magnificent forward, Tom O'Connor, saw his wage rise $4900 up to $8180/wk.

37k -> 46k
would have been worse if I hadn't swapped out my brillian foreign keeper for my new USA brilliant keeper :)

After downgrading my team for the sake of the future, my wages are down to about $128k. I still have to buy a few players though.

Season 26: $130k
Season 27: $180k ... or, as I like to think of it, 55% of AE's goalie's salary
375k up from 250k... With no home game until week 2 and me being at 0 in the balance sheet, I am fearing an early sale of player....

That first complete season of winger training went quite smoothly as we went up in wages only 25k, from 178k to 203k U$. That is pretty frugal for a division II, even for a Canadian division II team ;) :p
Biggest increase came from my newest aquisition, a supernatural defender, but I also had 8 players who didn't increase at all...

$118,120 to $168,860
A difference of a little over 50k. But 20k of that is a trainee I can hopefully sell this year and get off my payroll :)

I had my first "noticeable" jump going into my 4th season, where my wages are going from $25,000 to $36,000.

I'm surprised mine aren't higher considering how my trainees are getting on up there...
From: $22929
To: $31720
Gotta love the wages one can get away with in Div VI! (and not having the Nat Keeper)

Mine wasn't so bad, really. It helped that I stopped training my keeper at ET, though.
Last seasons....62,953
This season.....75,616
Trying to offload one outstanding scorer the get a younger one with more passing skills, plus to spread out my training some, since I have 4 almost exactly at outstanding, and one at formidable, one at excellent.

This Season - $68,072

$262K -> $276K
Not a bad move but it's still an "oof" payment each week.
Are you still training your middies, CW? Is that why the insane bump?

190k to 220k, not too bad really, my midfield is mature wages wise, but had a forward jump 10k.

Ayup, and if there's any hope of survival in this utterly brutal III series I got thrown into, they need to keep training. My combined midfield trio make up for 45k of that 80k increase.
Most of the rest is from that psycho wage magical forward of mine.

Went from 450k to 524k.
Possibly will tack on another 150k-200k within the next 2 days.
Let's see if I can stay afloat.
al you you 350k+ guys, how are you going to handle these salaries ? I am already anticipated reselling one of my offseason acquistion (a mythical PM that sucks 98k in salaries weekly).
I am still wondering what to do
I'm not sure how I'll handle it, honestly.
Right now, I'm operating with starters and one sub in each area. I really haven't downgraded my outfield positions, but I could do that if need be.
First to be sold would be my starting keeper from last season. I'm hoping he'll pop a level before I have to do that, though.
I'm not looking to make money on this Roscoe Lyon venture. In fact, I know I'm going to lose in the end. I'm just doing my part for the old USA team.
It injects some new life into the team as well. I'd be the first to admit we've been a bit stale since losing the last NT election.

On weeks with home matches, I should break even or + slightly. On others, I should be -300k or so. So about -2M. I hope to have around that in reserve for this season.
Also a possible training change might give some money. I've trained PM for the life of my team (14-15 seasons?), but playmaking is odd. An ever higher level is required, such that a few seasons ago, I'd buy at brilliant., train, start when at supernatural or so, and sell at titanic/ET. Now that has been upped a few levels.
By buying at world class (if I buy at lower, I risk getting knocked out of Cup early, which would screw the season...and also would take too long to train for my players to start) and selling at mythical or so, I don't make money. I'd make similar money selling as (world class/supernatural) trainees than "fully-trained" players.
So I need to train up to mythical+ keep pace with midfields, but the higher up I train, the more wasteful it is.
So a switch in training might be in order (defense? wing?) to make my training program profitable. In ML, money is not so much to buy better players (I have 6M. I can buy 2 divine players for that), but to maintain and be able to pay wages, while painstakingly trying to improve.
So to get back to the wages issue, I might sell off my LOWER trainees (world class/supernatural) later in season and buy cheaper/younger trainee D/wing/keeper/whatever, so my wages will be OK this season....maybe.
Regardless, finishing 2nd/3rd in ML is not enough. So I might go a bit high on wages to try to WIN something. Long-term it might hurt slightly. But being in ML 9 of the last 12 seasons (or whatever it is) and winning nothing is getting lame. Teams are catching up quickly, so might need to take a few chances to try to dethrone Titans.
