The announcing people have been talking about this for weeks. pennington's shoulder is simply not the same arm he had before the surgery. he has no real arm strength, and on top of that I get the impression from watching him that he's actually afraid to really let it rip, fearing it will tear again.

Pennington has just been horrible. If you have a weak arm and you are playing the Jags, stay the hell away from Mathis. He's too freakin good.

That said, I love the Jags. I really do. But their offensie is horrible. It reminds me of the Marty coached Chiefs. They are so concerned with TOP that they run on first down every single time. You just can't do that on NFL defenses.

Even in OT. You make a great INT, you have the ball at midfield and you run the damned ball on first down. One of the things that does is it ensures your QB can never get into a rythm. And if on cue, Leftwich comes up short on a long pass to Matt Jones that was a sure TD. Underthrows it and the Jets pick it off.

I HATE seeing any player get hurt. Just hate it. But I will say that sometimes karma is a bitch and Harrison has a crapload of negative karma built up. I'd certainly shed more tears for Mike Vrabel or Tom Brady than I would Rodney Harrison.

The Pats put together a nice drive. Dillon looked as good as he's looked all year and Brady looked sharp. Dillon ran it in, Pats TD.

Pats start at the 20. Two Dillon runs set up a 3rd and 4. Pats call a half rollout and Brady is clobbered by a blitz up the middle.

This is a super-rarity for us in the NY area to be getting a double-header though. Thank god the Giants are playing tonight instead of this afternoon.

It's like this started a few years ago. I remember being able to watch up to 5 games on Sunday (both double-headers and the late game). Now I'm lucky to see 3. And of those, it's the Whiners or Faders (hate them both with a passion) or both.

It's getting really hard to follow the NFL without being able to see any games.

Well yeah, but McNabb looked left, saw guys blanketing his back, and still threw what was clearly a lateral pass. It was insane.
