View Full Version : Anyone play Diamondmind baseball?

I am wanting to get a good replay baseball sim and am leaning towards Diamondmind baseball. Anyone play Stratomatic's computer baseball how is it? And if anyone has played both or is familiar with the pro's and con's of each, I would love to hear?thanks.

I play DMB(and have since about 93 or so), though it will set you back some $$$ and isn't perfect as some would have you believe.

How are the AI manager profiles? Are they set to the real life managers or do you have to do it yourself and thus are all set the same out of the box?

You can setup automanagers which set up manager profiles (like lineups and stuff) for the respective teams. However, I don't think it does much tweaking regarding strategy.

Frankly, I've been an off and on player of DMB for about 10 years. I usually skip an upgrade or two, then cave in. Each time I play about 10 games and get thoroughly bored with it because it's just so sterile. If they added some other features for immersion it would be a lot more fun.
