What's the weather like there on a year-round basis-ish?

After falling sick with yet another lingering illness at a cold-weather state school, I'm going to see if I can transfer to a warm weather school and I'm looking at ASU.

im a freshman here, and the weather is impossible to beat...90-110 in the summer(but no humidity, so for me its like 70-80 in the south east...not too bad....the winter its 60-80...stunning weather...i couldnt love it more

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I love, love, love dry heat and I've loved Arizona every time I've been in the state. :)

Now if I can just get accepted in time for the spring semester...

I'll second this is an alumnus.

I'm not a religious man, but the scenery in heaven can't possibly be any better than about mid-April on Cady Mall. :)

Even better! Since my writing relies principally on having beauty around for inspiration. :)

What field of study at ASU? I don't mind the weather (air conditioning rocks), but it has taken my wife about 8 years before she stopped bitching about the heat.

As an alumnus, I'll take that as a compliment. ;)

From now until June the weather is gorgeous. July is the worst month out of the year - monsoon hasn't really started yet and its hot as hell. This year it seemed like most of the days in July were over 110.

Maybe I'm thinking of somebody else, but didn't you just start at Wyoming?

English. They're piloting a Creative Writing program next fall which is going to be damn tough to get into, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

I wouldn't bitch about the heat. Too many years in too many cold weather states. Things just haven't been the same since I got pneumonia at Minnesota my first year of college.

Yeah, but if I'm this sick in the fall already, winter will eat me alive.

In fact, it's snowing outside my window as we speak. Wyoming's weather is starting to make Minnesota's look like a weakling, and Minnesota's cold trumps Wisconsin's by about 5 times.

As an English minor, I agree wholeheartedly with your decision.

Heh, the Wyoming plan didn't last long...
