I remember when you could actually use Hotmail with little to no chance of getting spammed to death. Ever since they did away with custom filters, etc, it really has sucked. Of those 480 new messages, maybe 15 are pm notifications from DKBL, the rest being various money making schemes, and heath insurance type shit.

I've never known hotmail to be anything other than a place for spam emails. I just use it for junk.

So did I, i just check the hotmail about once or twice a week, in case some old friend writes a message(one that i havent given my gmail addy to). Also i registered at some sites with that address, its convenient to keep in case i forget a password.

I have a hotmail account and rarely get spam there. I get more spam at my work account.

My hotmail account is my spam account. Any time I sign up for anything, I use the hotmail address. Has kept my Yahoo account spam free for years.

I do the same, with gmail as my private e-mail for friends and family. However, I have had almost no problems with spam and hotmail, though I've been dilligent over the years that whenever I do get spam at that account, I go into the settings and register the domain associated with the spam and block it. For the last couple of years, I get maybe 1 spam e-mail a month or so at my hotmail address.

My only issue with hotmail is that sometimes it's a bitch to get connected to my account.

I rarely get spam @ Hotmail.

I never get spam @ Gmail.

I use both and cant really complain a ton about either.
