So the wife and I went to the FSU/Maryland game (a story in and of itself), and after Maryland's FG early in the 4th quarter, a guy (presumably a drunk student) jumped onto the field in the south end zone and sprinted about 100 yards until he made a beeline for the fence (right where two hot chicks were standing, incidentally) and actually made it up into the stands before being overcome by the police.

But the kicker is that he was dressed in full "King" garb. In fact, I think half the crowd thought BK was filming a commercial, unil the cops started chasing him. Is this the new fad for game crashers, or just a drunk student's bright idea after going Halloween costume shopping?

As an aside...I haven't seen an update on the Maryland kid who got injured in the third quarter, so if anyone knows, please post it here. I have never seen such a fast and enormous reaction to an on-field injury in my life. I swear one of the FSU staff came on the field as the play was ending, and they actually brought "the board" with them from Maryland's side. They had a stretcher and cart out on the field within 2 minutes. They reacted so quickly a number of people in the stands thought his life might be in jeopardy.

Interesting, exciting game, and 3 firsts - flyover, ambulance injury, and streaking King.

Here's an article from ESPN.com: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2207855

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Maryland defensive back Milton Harris was taken to a local hospital Saturday after suffering a possible neck or head injury late in the third quarter of the Terrapins' game at Florida State.

Harris, a senior from Lanham, Md., lay motionless on the field for several minutes while team trainers carefully strapped him onto a spine board. The athlete was alert and talking, officials said.

Maryland officials said Harris was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for observation and treatment.

Thanks. I swear, the quick reaction made me think of the Lions guy from several years back who almost died on the field.

Probably had a group of buddies throw some money togther for bail. Then he doesn't have to pay the fines and he gets hooked up later at the party when he shows up as Burger King Guy from today's game. He also has something he can talk about everytime he runs into old friends for the next 50 years.

Why not?

I was at a basketball game a few years ago where one of our fans attacked their mascot. A little backstory, Illinios has a white guy come out dressed in Indian Garb and do a traditional dance at halftime. Well some drunk fan stormed the court and tackled the guy. IMO it wasn't like he planned to start beating the shit out of him or stab him, he just wanted to stop the dance. No moral objections to him being an Indian, just objections as being a Mizzou fan. I know my co-worker Illini fans don't agree with my take and probably neither do most outside people. But I don't care, I thought it was funny.

ummm I don't think it's a new fad... some drunk student just probably decided to dress up as a King and to charge the field............... I gotta say though whoever did it is my new hero cause I couldn't imagine being so trashed that I would run out on to a football field in a halloween costume.:)

If I did that shit at the University of Iowa, I would be scared to get tackled by the Iowa Linebacker Abdul Hodge (he's huge):)

You know how you can preview the thread by putting your cursor over it? I probably wouldn't have clicked on this thread, but I saw this:

The cameras kept showing shots of these two identically dressed chicks who had plenty of cleavage showing. and the King ended up going ove the wall right where they were. I think maybe he climbed up the wall using their breastses as anchors.
