check out the hattrick faq. i posted how to get one for 10k if you spend some time.
also, there is some magic number the always post clowns for. like 67550k or something to make it easy to search for them. that isnt the right amount, but it is something weird like that.

Sadly, the 10k 'trick' does not work anymore...

The technical limit covering the maximum bid on a player has been removed.
This does not change the rule that you may not pay overprice on players

Wow, that's sad. I highly enjoyed my 2 week search for my 0 TSI clown. :)

The price was 79500 for a clown, I believe. Not everyone uses that number, though.

Just curious, saintjo...
How much would you pay for a player with excellent experience and solid leadership?

how much would i, or how much would most people? i personally probably wouldnt. you have to wait 16 weeks before they can be converted to a coach anyway. so what i do is my second string are all guys with descent skills and passable leadership. then i just wait until they get high enough to convert to coaches. coach degrading is slow, so i have plenty of time to let their experience build.
on a related note, i recently sold a brilliant defender/passable winger that was a sympathetic/solid. it added about 500k to his selling price. i asked the guy out of curiousity what was the big selling point, the winger skill or semi clown. he said it was the semi clown because he planned on keeping the guy and making him a coach in the future.

Alright...
but my point was in relation to the "Maximum bid removed" comment.
I have an excellent/solid player (who happens to be sympathetic as well), but his TSI is down all the way 10-20 or so.. The most I could receive is 100-200k instead of the 7-800k he's worth.
