Anyone know what would be decent skill levels for an asst manager at the Conf N/S level? I am looking for one, but the people who have responded so far are questionable. I seem to be getting a LOT of responses from coaches in Germany.

I guess it doesn't matter too much at the moment. They all want x2 - x3 what the board is willing to pay out.

at that level i think i'd just be happy to find an asst. who the board would let me hire (wage-wise).

With Maidenhead, I think the asst manager that I hired had important skills between 10 and 13 (out of 20). Some of his other skills were in the 7 to 10 range.

check their reputation, if they're regional or above, forget it, look for Local and Unknowns.

I couldn't even get locals...only obscure and unknowns.

Definitely unknowns and obscure ....

If you're brave then take a chance on promoting aging players into non-playing staff (by offering playing & non-playing roles if they're interested (shown by the option being present) ...

Sometimes you'll get a gem, sometimes not ..

PS> Also bear in mind that elderly players at slightly bigger teams might be open to joining if given a dual role at your club as an incentive ..

That's a good suggestion. I know with my team, last night I tried to sign a veteran player as purely a player and he wasn't interested in coming to my team....when I offered to make him a player/coach, he actually changed his stance and told me how much he wanted to be paid (which happened to be way too much for me to afford...hehe).

Now why did you have to go and call 30-somethings ELDERLY? ;)

And what comes past elderly, 'cause that's where I am now..

Embalmed?
