Hey fellow poker players!
We are now at the third break in the $10+1 10 minute blinds tourney. We started out with 973 people, and are now down to 13. I'm sitting in 2nd with 168896 chips. Come cheer me on to the final table!
The tourney is 14705370, and I'm at table 77. The blinds will be $8K/$16K/$800 once we start play again.

not a good start. :( Had pocket 6s in BB, going against QJ, and he catches 2 Qs on the flop.

That King he got on the river when I had him on the way out hurt. So I got $1300 instead of $2400. Not bad for a few hours play. And here I was complainng in the other Poker thread on how I hadn't made a final table in a while. :D

So to recap:
I start heads up play with about 1/3 of the chips. We go back and forth, neither one of us gaining or losing much. I eat away at his stack a bit, then win a big pot with a pair of 9s. Now I have about 2/3 of the chips. We then came to the defining hand. I had As3h in the big blind. He raises, I call. The flop comes Ts, 4s, 3s. I have bottom pair, and nut flush draw. I raise him all in, and he calls. He had KhQd. Turn was 6d. So as long as I dodge the Qh, Qc, Ks, Kd, or Kc, I win the tourney. The river was Kh. That gave him about 5/6 of the chips. The final hand was me going all in A5o against his J7. He gets a 7 on the turn to pair, and I don't improve.

wouldn't the Ks have given you a flush? so it was a 4 outer?

Yep, you are correct based on what I wrote. But I was incorrect in the description of the hand. It was late and I was tired. :D Regardless, it was still a 5 outer for him.
I went back and checked the hand history. I had As3h. I was BB, and he just called. I checked. The flop came 3sTs4s. He bet out with 40K, I raised him all-in. He called. He showed KcQs. So he too had a flush draw, but it was dead. So all I had to do was dodge one of the two non spade Kings, or any of the remaining three Queens. I liked my odds. :D

grats!
I played the $2 + .20 tourney last night... 1400 registered and I finished in the money. I lost with AA to 10 J unsuited, he got a runner-runner straight after I was all in. That's what I get for going up against the chip leader.
Obviously finishing #2 is a lot sweeter.
