So, any of you guys who have listened to me babble in chat know that I'm in a two-horse race for my Div6 series. My Existentialists beat the odds-on favorite to win the series, TEAM VIPER, 6-2 in the first league match, thanks to a 5-goal output by trainee Pedro Villar. But, it was at home, so I didn't want to get my hopes up. 2nd league game comes my slip up. I was on the road against duckphile, who is now #3 in the series. It looked like their central defense was strongest, and I made a stupid adjustment of playing my IMs toward wing, which probably just hurt my IM rating. That evened me up with TEAM VIPER, and both teams have been winning ever since...until last night. TEAM VIPER played host to duckphile, and the ducks pulled off a 4-4 tie! Meanwhile, I hosted the #5 team, Bieszczady. They drew first blood in the 20th minute, but I struck back in the 24th, and ended up winning 6-1. So now, I still have my matchup with TEAM VIPER to end the series, but I'm two points ahead, and all I need is a tie. Of course, I still have to face duckphile, but it will be at home, and I won't make the mistake of putting my IMs toward wing.
Having secured a lead in points (which I needed since I was behind in goal difference), I check the promotion table...there we are at 515!
