My office is in the basement of a church. Apparently Cynthia was meeting with the director of a school that is housed here. One of the security bells at this end of the building rings into my office, and for some reason, I just found out that the church has removed the school's button, so no one can ring them up. Anyway, her face looked familiar in the little security screen, but it didn't register who she was, and they've had break-in problems here, so rather than ringing them in, I totally gave the "we-don't-trust-you" vibe, and went out and escorted her and her companion to the office they were looking for. I didn't realize who it was until we were almost where I was leading her. It was one of those situations where I was thinking, "Hmmm...I know her..who is she...is she the parent of a kid that used to be involved....how do I know her? Duh, that's Cynthia!"
What's funny is that the guy with her was the one doing the talking into the security camera at first, but when it became apparent that I wasn't going to let them in without coming outside, she sort of nudged her way into the view of the camera. I guess she was thinking that I'd just let her in on recognition alone. The fact that I didn't probably hacked her off a bit, but oh well.
