Apparently I got roped into hosting a New Year's party this year. Small, cordial, relaxed, lot of booze.

And thusly, the gang from around hyah are more than welcome to attend, so long as you can handle my dedicated alcoholic friends. :)

Would love to stop by one of these times, but already have New Years plans. Going to brave the drunks and head downtown that night.

Insanity there. :)

Of course, nothing tops the idiocy of a new years party a few years ago...friend of mine's wife (ex wife now) was pretty much entirely cops. Several of them came over for the party...wound up just handing us their guns to shoot off in the backyard. It's not often you have a half dozen police officers just giving you their firearms.

Not one of the smarter things I've done in hindsight, but hey.

Date night with the wife. Going to Chicago Chop House for dinner, then heading over to see Wicked. Not sure what the next spot will be after that - someplace we can get in without a $100 cover for an hour or two of booze. Crashing at a hotel downtown (don't remember which one) to avoid dodging drunks on the highway after the parties let out.
