Does anyone know a way to remove the recycle bin from Windows XP Home desktop?
Thanks in advance.
right click on the desktop, go to arrange icons, then unselect show desktop. that would remove everything on the desktop though. not sure if theres a way to just eliminate the recycle bin if thats what you want

it would be done in the registry. there's a couple of ways to do it, TweakUI being the one that I would probably go for first.

If you're using WinXP and right click on the desktop and then select properties, desktop and then customize desktop there is an option to remove everything but the recycle bin. Maybe you can try changing the icons to nothing.
If you right click on the recycle bin and select properties there is an option to not move itmes to the recycle bin, but to delete them right away. I've never tried it so i'm not sure if selecting this will remove the recycle bin, but its worth a try.
