I need your prayers please

This morning, my father was found dead in the basement of our house. He had a plastic bag over his head and had committed suicide. I have been living here since graduating college as my mother needed my help. My parents had just become divorced in November, and my mother had let him stay through the holidays. He was suppossed to move out today. My mother found him, and it just doesn't seem like its real. They were married for 31 years, and this is extremely hard for all of us. He was a priest for several years and we just don't know how he could have done this. There was a lot going on in his life that nobody knew about, as he was extremly secretive with our family and especially my mother. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary last night, and this is just a huge shock to us all. I welcome anyone who would like to pray for our family. THank you.

Thanks for all of the kind words guys and girls. It means a lot just reading through them, more than you would know. The past few days have been extremely difficult for all of us. I went to the basement yesterday where it happened, to retrieve his glasses and I found an empty bottle of rum and an empty box of sleeping pills, 72 count. I am suprised that the police had missed this, but it was pushed behind an area out of view. I'm sure the medical examiner would have found this out eventually. But I am wondering how long something like that would take. I hope there was little pain involved. So it is apparent to us now that he had placed the bag over his head because he did not want us to see him like that. Part of this whole issue has been my families' financial status. My father had been receiving overdraft notices from the bank, with little to no money although he had been working. He completely stopped paying bills a few years ago. Over this long weekend, we were struggling with the fact that if he didn't have any money in his account, his life insurance policy may have lapsed. Thankfully that is not the case however, as we spoke with them this morning. It was difficult to know what was going on with him, as he was a very quiet man and also secretive. He would leave the house a few hours before he had to start work, and he would come home late. We didn't know why. Upon talking with someone at his office, we found out that he had been writing a book. He had 8 chapters complete, it was some sort of legal book. I am so proud of him, he was finally putting his intelligent mind to use. I'm kind of rambling but needed to put this down somewhere.
