This is a gigantic example of why College Hoops is a much better watch than the NBA. The crowd is not into this at all (sounds like a public library when the musical cheers aren't being played on the PA).

The crowd gets into it at Warriors games...maybe that's just because Oakland gets all 'hyphy' or whatever.

maybe it's because it's the Nuggetts and Bulls.
I did find it amusing the other night watching the Celtics in Atlanta that they have a live band playing from the stands during the game. C's announcer noted this and said "this place is a complete joke".

I actually like the idea of a band, so long as it is along the lines of a university pep band. It beats listening to Hip-Hop-Hooray and Kris Kross's Jump on the PA system.

It wasn't a university band. Picture a jazz band playing hip-hopish stuff. Or funk.

That's what happens when 98% of the league gets into the playoffs.

weren't there talks recently in the NBA expanding the playoffs even more? That would have been ridicules.

Where was the game at? I seem to remember Big Mac getting fairly rowdy back when I lived in Denver and went to Nuggs games on a regular basis. Of course, The Pepsi Center is bigger than Big Mac was, so maybe the sounds might just die there now...
