Another sports wagering dynasty!

I've decided to follow the trend and post my dynasty at wagering on sporting events. Anyway, I switched websites to Pinnacle Sports in the middle of January and deposited $100 into it. The reason for the switch was that next day lines on college basketball are posted around 4 or 5 p.m. the day before and that they base their wagers at -105 instead of -110 like most places do. On mostly college basketball (with some NFL and an NBA game or two) I manged to be up $17.50 for the month, so I start today with my bankroll at $117.50. My bets usually top out at $15 or so, but I'm thinking of upping some of them to $20.

Made one bet as the lines opened up, more to come for sure...but this was another home unranked favorite play. Edit: Made another pick, UCLA-Arizona Over, Arizona seems to be going over a lot, and while UCLA has been going under lately, I feel that Arizona controls the tempo more and that it will go over the total.

I never play trends like that. If I'm up in the air about a game, I'll maybe let the trend sway me one way or other. But, I don't take games blindly based on trends. I think in the last three games from that trend, I've taken the ranked team away and covered.

Nice, if I had known how much they were looking forward to the Stanford game, I probably would have taken that side as well. I just liked to total too much, with last game being about 15-20 points lower and I just figured St. Mary's would try to stretch possessions long enough. I probably could have equated that to the Gaels +13 as well, but oh well.

Got back from DC...I was in a bar watching the OU/OSU game on Wednesday night and saw A&M make their basket to go up by 1 (the highlight) and then saw CU miss their shot with what I thought was time running out. I thought I lost my biggest play of the season...then I found out the next morning that CU fouled A&M with one second to go and the guy hit both free throws to get the cover...was very happy to read that one. All in all a 2-2, but profitable day.

What kind of research do you do on these wagers? I put $50 in sportsbooks.com and I've only won bet so far. Maybe I'm not looking at the trends correctly. :confused:
