He downloaded the league files into the Leagues Folder. He clicks on the head to start the multiplayer, types in football, and selects begin without draft. when he clicks on Load Game he gets the following message... ""unable to load game data file. Saved game is missing"

Any ideas?

Is this one of those stories like "So, I have this friend who has red boils growing on his penis. Any idea what that might be?"

I had him delete everything and start over. Here's what he said is in his Leagues folder... "In my leagues folder, I have the ffl 02.16 file (unzipped), the stat file (unzipped), and the football.15Q, which is what comes up after I enter thenew career in the multi player mode. The message that comes up is a solecismic message that says "unable to load game data file. Saved game is
missing."

Your league file unzipped will contain two files. An *.fga file and an *.frc file. One of those is definitely not in his leagues folder. Simple as that.

.fga and <LEAGUENAME>.frc are required I think.

Hi, I'm the infamous Newbie. I am really frustrated with this. I'm not the best with computers, was wondering if anyone is in the Phx area here, and I could just bring my laptop over for 5 minutes and you could call me a dumbass and fix whatever I didn't do right and make it work. I have the fga and frc files in my leagues folder and the error message still pops up.

that's all. nothing more to offer, as i've never played MP (I know...WTF am I thinking right? I oughta be in at least one league!)

Just curious - how do you know for sure you've got both of those files in your leagues directory? Do you physically see them in a window? Only asking.

Otherwise, when you go to open the MP game (with the Multi-Player controls window open), is the League ID 'football'?

I've seen tons of people with the same problem and it's always, "Oops, I guess I only placed one of the league files in the leagues folder."

ARIZING sent me the files seperately. I put them into my leagues folder. The league ID is football, and I did put both files in my leagues folder...
