I am looking to get a PS2 console with 2 controllers and the network adaptor preferably (not a must).

I have an X-Box system with two controllers, DVD remote, WIRELESS adaptor, headset for online and the following games:
MVP College Baseball 2006
NBA 2k6

I'm not sure how we'd work the deal out but that's what I have to bargain with! I'd rather not go through a store since they usually rip you off anyway.

Get in touch if you have a PS2 you're looking to get rid of. Obviously, I'd like one that works and does not freeze up.

Not sure if you're inclined to try a third party site, but...

I've already engaged in 2 trades on this particular place (and it's so far been pretty decent for me): http://www.gametz.com

Been planning on getting my SNES back this way as well.

Why? If you could find someone stupid enough to sell one for those reasons you could probably pick it up for 5 dollars. And the simple fact is that Sony will fix them for free. All you have to do is say you have a "disk read error." I'm gotten mine fixed 3 freakin times for free by them. Each time it lasted about a year.

And DRE isn't that hard to fix on your own either, lol...

Anyone looking to purchase an N64 with a shitton of games? Let me know :)

If you put your stuff on ebay I'd expect you'd cover getting the PS-2 stuff you want from the same source (heck I'll admit it I'm an ebayaholic - hard not to be when I'm getting brand new PSP UMD's for £6.50 compared to the £17.00 they retail for here ....).

Completely off-topic, but how do you get the pound signs in there? Does your keyboard have that symbol?

All I've ever needed was the serial number on the PS2 itself. That is pretty much all the proof you ever need on consoles when you call tech support.

Thanks, but are you pushing 0, 1, 6, and 3 and the alt all at the same time?

♠ I get that symbol.

♠ I get that symbol. No, I hold down Alt and then hit 0 1 6 3 in succession on the keypad. Interesting. Trying to duplicate your character.

Just fixed a kids down the street this weekend. The lens for the laser was really dirty. Cleaned it with alcohol and BAM!! the kids are back up and running once again.

Yup, thats what I did with mine, Mizzou. I went through a tutorial online to move the lens and shit and that didn't help...I should have just done the alcohol in the first place!

These kids moved in down the street and just bought a new ps2 because that one was not working. Well, they are a happy bunch now.. each kid has his own now.

It is quite amazing what you find on the net if you just do a little research. I really had no idea it was a very common problem. I was certain my PS2 was shit and I would have to get a new one, but after some research and a little work, I was very pleased!
