Quite literally a hunk of meat (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=360149&cc=5901)

The good folks at SI have a little more work to do, I suspect. :)

That is a real deal?

Wow. Then again, there was a time or two that I was upset enough at some of my players that I might have taken that deal ;)

We do - but you have to use your imagination as all such trades show the cash involved in our games ;)

(hence that player you sold for £500,000 was actually a straight trade for a very well equipped sports car irl ;) )

On a slightly more serious note we could implement this side of things (in the English lower leagues for instance commonly a big club will 'pay' an amateur club via. sponsorship or purchasing them equipment out of good will), but because of the grey areas and complications in how people would value such a deal we stick to simply cash payments - otherwise we'd have our boards full of discussions over how much a cow might be worth in a rural third-world country which to be honest I'd prefer to avoid ;)

I think that's how I'll start seeing all of my transfers from now on. "Wow, I got this new middie for only $95k worth of meat!!!" :D
