I'm looking at some board statistics (more on that later), and it is stunning to see the relatively HUGE number of registrations here in July and August of 2K1. We had roughly 800 registrations in the first two weeks after 10/20/00, and then numbers leveled off in a hurry, with more than 10 in any one day not happening again until June 29th, 2001. We had an amazing run of registrations starting on that day: only one day from 6/29-7/20 with less than 10 new members (9 on 7/2/01), and a run all the way through August where 7-10 new members in the same day was a common thing. TCY really brought 'em in here.

Another run of registrations happened in a 6 day period: Oct. 22-27, 2002: 76 registrations in 6 days (at a time when we were normally getting 0-6 per day). Was that the FOF4 release?

In '03, 0-2 per day was the norm until early November when we had the FOF2K4 announcement (and also the TPF delay and subsequent conspiracy theories). New registrations during that period reached a peak of 12 on 12/2/03, which I believe can henceforth be referred to as "One True Dark Jedi Day." The only other spike since then was 11/2-11/4/04, when we came back from the board being down to discover that many wouldn't be able to login for a few days, and therefore 61 new accounts were registered in that three-day period. We've pretty much remained in the 0-4 range since then.

No real point to that, but I like stats, and I know many of y'all do to. :p
