Spouses aside, whats the dirtiest thing you own?
I personally have preference to the hockey jersey I wear when I skate. Going on three years this upcoming October without a wash, it's just sick. I'm very partial to it.
It went from white to different shades of red, green, brown and black depending on which part of the jersey you look at it.
So whatabout you people? Dirtiest thing you're proud to admit you own?

hmmmm... I usually wash stuff when it gets dirty. I used to wear an OU cap when I would mow the lawn. It got nasty enough that I had to throw it away. I need to buy a Yankees hat for the same purpose.
Right now the dirtiest thing I own would probably be my car.

When I played hockey, I always always always washed my gear after every practice/game.
Same went for baseball.

My septic tank.
Or maybe the corral where we keep the horses.

A White Sox Cap.....I wore it to a Softball game 4 years ago when I couldn't find my Yankees Cap and went yard 3 times that night.....haven't cleaned it since, the thing is filthy and I only break it out now if I go 5 or 6 games without hitting one over the fence because it stinks so bad.....but it's lucky :)

In 1996, I was in college, and Hockey Canada came out with their new logo design (the one you see now). One of the t-shirts they sold at the time was white, with the logo, and in big letters on the front, it said "100% Canadian". Since I was living in Kansas at the time, I thought this would be cool, so I bought one.
It stayed in decent shape for a couple of years, and then I started using it as my undershirt when I played roller hockey (indoors+Kansas+summer). Unlike st. cronin, I rarely washed my equipment, so the shirt usually stayed in my bag with everything else. When I moved back to Toronto in 2002, I left a bunch of stuff in storage in Kansas while I got settled, my hockey bag among them. When I finally brought my stuff up here, the bag stayed in storage since I really wasn't playing much.
This year, I started coaching my 5 year old son's hockey class. As we were getting dressed a couple of weeks ago, he noticed some of my old jerseys in my bag, and wanted to see them. As I pulled out a couple, I found at the bottom my "100% Canadian" t-shirt.
My first -- albeit *very* fleeting -- thought was, "Cool! I wonder if I washed this..."
This shirt has been untouched for more than 3 years, unwashed in probably 6 years, and buried under 30 pounds of often-used, never washed hockey equipment for almost 4 years.
In short, I think it's safe to assume that it is the dirtiest thing I own.

This is random, but I still have, but do NOT wear, a fitted Auburn hat that I bought when I worked at a mall hat store back in 1992. My favorite color is orange, so I wore the hat a LOT. It is so salty white now, that you can barely make out the A. I have a few MSU hats like that too, but none so bad.
I keep it, but I really don't know why.

My UTEP hat is pretty filthy, and I have a pair of pretty nast tennis shoes gathering dust in the closet.
I think the cat's litter box takes the cake, though. The cats stink that sucker up something fierce...

Have I ever told you about the hockey smell at the Carls' household? Or were you ever lucky enough to enjoy it yourself?
