Thinking about training SP

Any thoughts? I know there's at least one SP trainer on here. Anyone know of a guide? I would also appreciate any general input on the cost/benefit. Thanks.

be ready for alot of work/time spent on HT. It also takes massive amounts of start up money. Your salary will be through the roof aswell since you need to train 49 players at a time.

I see. Can I interest you in a research project where you take a decent team and turn them into a big time contender by training them in set pieces?

I would definitly help ya, even though im not 100% sure where to start. Your probally gonna take a few steps back before you can take a step forward. I was considering training SP myself and if done right im pretty sure its the best 'legal' training regimen out there. But i just didn't have the time to invest in it and im so dam competitive i couldn't risk having a losing season or 2 until the profit started rolling in.

First thing i suggest is joining the SP fed, ALOT of good info there. Get in contact with some experianced trainers(like i said earlier, the owner of Fair Oak Diamonds was very cool when i talkd to him) and find out when is the best time to sell guys, best players to buy, etc....

I think most SP trainer's try to make like 20k a week per trainee(something like that). Thats after agents fee's, wages, etc.... It might not sound like alot, but when your training 49 players it adds up quick! Then when you get to the level of training the Fair Oak Diamonds are at, he's buying divine goalie's, getting them to divine SP's and selling them for big time profits. I'd pay an extra 700-800k for a divine goalie with divine SP's, wouldn't you?

I think the type of players for a guy like you to invest in are excellent/formidable. Buy a bunch of excellent/formidable players with passable SP's, train them up to SN or titanic and then 'start' trying to sell them. Thats another thing i remember about talking to Jeff. It takes time to sell most guys. You need to set a price and list him quite a few times until someone bites. So you may start listing him when he's at SN sp's, but you might not actually sell him until mythical.

The guy who trained him, bought him for 2.7 million. Then in 6 months he sold him to me for 3.5 million. It probally took him a couple weeks to find someone to buy him. But i was willing to overpay alittle because he was absolutly perfect for what i was doing(passing training). Now this guys wages are a bit high for a SP trainerso it cuts into profit quite a bit, but this guy was a starter for him so you don't really factor in his wages for profit concerns since he's a starter. Only really do that for b-teamers/back-ups.

And one last good thing about SP training, formation freedom! You only need to play your 11 starters, thats it. Since everyone gets training reguardless of wether they play or not. This is GREAT GREAT GREAT for cup runs :)

oh... and one last bad thing about SP training. Its a TS killer :( Your buying and selling so many players that its basically impossible to have good TS. Thats why alot of SP trainer's run CA teams since TS isn't as important. But a well put together 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 CA team can be quite successful.

just a suggestion since I buy sp trainees to train in defending. but maybe guy some 17 year old passable skill players. anymore they are pretty cheap. then train them to divine and sell at around early 19. i know there doesnt ever seem to be enough of these guys when i go to buy them. but maybe thats for a good reason.
