I wouldn't think anybody posted this yet.

I know these guys. They had a CD release show recently.

The regular guitarist left the band. They had to hire one of their friends to play the release show. The guy got totally loaded and was unable to play the stuff. After 20 mins, the drummer had enough. The video is from that song.

This has been getting some serious action in the music world forums. Blabbermouth posted it. I heard that ifilm.com got it and it may be heading to Webjunk20.

Watch the 2nd video as well. That is the song before the debacle. Notice the guitar player doing his best C.C. Deville for about 2 minutes. A 'roadie' had to plug in his guitar for him.

Video is worksafe but you should be able to listen to the audio as well. Funny, funny stuff.

Did they make it down for SXSW? If so, I'll have to go look for them.

Heh, kinda reminds me of the last show a friend's band played. It was over the summer and they were playing just off campus, so there weren't very many folks there (probably like ten of us). So the drummer decided to have some fun and he got liquored up and was just screwing around. My buddy, the lead singer, got pissed off after a while because he wasn't staying on beat or whatever. Halfway through a song he threw his guitar down and stormed off stage. At that point the rest of the band just started packing up...

And that was the last time Wellwisher ever played. RIP. :(

no, hehe. i think that they are in transit to shit by shit south.

Seriously, I feel bad for them. I was in a simiar situation with the last band I was in. It wasn't a CD release show, but it is embarassing to have a guy in the band who is sooo messed up, he can't play. I don't condone the public abuse the guy took. You have to be professional and trudge through it. What if a guy from a record label was there? Talent scouts can see through 1 bad band memeber. They have a hard time seeing a band that just quits after 20 mins.
