I expect you're getting MLB 2k6? After seeing some screenies of the game, I'm interested in your thoughts once it comes out for the Xbox 360.

Take a look at the new Busch Stadium.

What, you doubt? Of course I'm buying it.

Even *shudder* at $59.99.

Meh.

The audience looks like a bunch of fucking Redcoats circa 1770.

The new stadium has five decks? They must have built it straight up in the air.

After what 2K sports did with the basketball games? Yeah, the baseball game is a must buy.

I wonder if attendance values will determine what the crowds looks like?

Edit: Nevermind. I should go to sleep. I misread this as MLB 06 the show was coming to the Xbox 360.

Since, I'm not buying any more games until May, I'll either get this or the show for the PS2. If the reviews on this are good, I'll pick this up instead of the show.

Nope, not getting it.

Perfectly happy with The Show on PS2.

I think you've spent enough $$$$ :)

Pretty screens do not a game make. ;) Just wanted to see who's going to post some impressions of this game when it comes out.

Here's a linky to the rest of the hands on preview from IGN:

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/696/696799p1.html

Here's an excerpt:
In St. Louis, we played an evening game and the light from the setting sun glistened off the famous Arch behind center field. Over the course of the game, a strong breeze blew in dark storm clouds and night eventually fell. In Houston, the huge left-field wall and the outfield lights cast large, dark shadows on the grass, which was cut in the exact same, intricate pattern that you'll see in real life. In Fenway, you could see dust being kicked up from base runners when their spikes dug into the base paths. David Ortiz legged out a double and slid awkwardly into second -- dirt stuck to his pants as he stood up.

Might as well use this thread to ask a few questions about the 360, since I'm more or less decided on getting it.

Now, I've decided on the Premium version (of course), and I have a PC with the Windows Media OS, so I could use the stream-function to watch videos through the 360 on my TV.

However, I've heard negative things about how good this function really is. I've heard that you can't watch all the AVI-files, and that it doesn't support all the available xvid-codecs.

Anyone have any experience on this? I'm struggling with the idea of buying the 360 just for gaming, since I know I won't be playing enough.. Games run at around $90 here in Sweden and for me to spend that kind of money they'd have to come VERY well recommended. But if I can use the 360 for other stuff than just gaming, the $500 pricetag is justifiable..

I'm currently looking at premium package and Ghost Recon to start with, then possibly a used version of PGR and then in April Top Spin 2. Any advice on good 360 games?

Since this'll be the only baseball game on the 360, I guess I kinda have to get it. I didn't play 2K5, but I played the two previous games, and I liked them a lot. Hopefully, they'll have learned from last year's mistakes and made 2K6 a playable and fun game. I'm looking forward to it.

Same here. This and Top Spin are games that I'm buying in April for the 360.
