Phil Collins or Genesis
Phil is singing. I remember this song from when I was a kid. It's from the late 70s-early 80s era.
The lyrics I remember are what sound like 'paper lake, paper lake'-that's the chorus. 'paper lake, I'm sorry but, there's no one on the line'
The song has horns similar to Genesis' 'No Reply' song from Abacab. In fact, I would bet that the Earth Wind and Fire guys did horns for this song too.
I have 'Face Value' and it's not on that album. I skimmed through the samples of 'hello I must be going'. Didn't hear it there. I KNOW it's a song with phil singing but if I am getting the name wrong, I cant really cross reference anything.
I need help with this. I usually don't for songs that I like but i just remembered it from my youth.
