Tasan has officially gotten me on a baseball kick. (Jerk!) :)

As such, I'm firing up Out of the Park IV, and I'm gonna give it a go.

Anyway, here's the present plan.

I'm taking over the Cubs. I use real (2002 season) rosters, but I will be simulating 20 years ahead, to clear out things.

After I take command of whatever shambles the Cubs have become, this is where you all come in.

I will NOT be making any modifications to the player statistics. I will change anything you request except that. For the position you choose, I will pick the best looking player on the team or signed as a free agent (prior to the official start of the league, that is), and make any changes you request that are in the following list:

The *'s are special cases. Do not say you wanna be the ultimate leader/clutch/consitant god, because it won't happen. I may alter a couple of those as per requests, but I'm not making everyone gods at the intangibles.

Further. I will make every attempt to keep everyone signed, but things happen. If you are no longer a Cub, I WILL follow your careers with other teams. Some definate fun can come in when you play your old teammates!

As far as house rules...other than no cheating and actually trying to keep the club in the black, I'll make em as I need em. It's been awhile since I've player OOTP, so I don't remember any loopholes.

I don't know squat about OOTP, but what I'm thinking of is an experienced infielder and base stealer...an older player who leads the infield and can still turn on the jets when we need a base stolen.

Addendum to current rules, if this dynasty becomes long lasting.

Once your player hits mid-30 ish, if you choose, your son can become a next generation Cub, via the amateur draft. Obviously it'll take some time for him to develop to the pro club, but, assuming he's not a bust, he may come into the big leagues right around the time of your first generation player's retirement.

Minor (fairly irrelevant) change to the league setup.

Starting in 2003 with random generated players, letting the computer do the initial auto-draft and signing of coaches. I will take over from there.

It simply isn't feasible to properly modify players in an ongoing season in OOTP. Anyway, the draft is running now, so I'll have everyone's information sometime today! Anyone and everyone is still welcome to join in on the fun.
